Thursday (Halloween) -
Pumpking the King of Ghosts
Now, honestly, who
didn't see this coming? I know I didn't =X
Once again we have a
card that only works in a certain type of deck.
This time, it's a Zombie deck.
Pair this guy up with Castle of Dark
Illusions and you have a slightly powerful
force to be reckoned with, but I'd still go with
Shadow Ghoul just for good measure.
Score:

remains face-up on the Field, the ATK and DEF of this
card continues to
increase by 100 points during each of your Standby
Phases. This effect
continues until your 4th turn after the card is
activated.

Reasons: First off, Happy Halloween everyone. Let's
see how many Yugi Moto
outfit will there be this year? Well what an more
fitting card for today,
Pumpking, King of Ghosts. This card is not like the TV
show, but it does
have its powerup features. With a 1800/200 stats. It
isn't bad, but it soon
find out why it isn't that great of a card. This card
needs Castle of Dark
Illusions on the field, which makes it harder for the
pumping to begin.
Also, with this being a level 6 monster, it might make
it bit harder to stay
alive. Though, it has a 2000 DEF, which means it is
suggested to tribute
face-down. This is still an average card. Not that
bad.
Rating: This card isn't half bad. Well since this is
on Halloween, I will be
a bit generous and give this card a 2.5. This card has
some potential, but
with today's stack aggresive deck, this card likely
will not see that much
play.
Conclusion: Bring this card out on Halloween, for it
to be happy. But other
days it won't be happy at all.

Thursday - Pumpking The
King of Ghosts
Happy Halloween! Today, as a fun pick, we are looking
at Pumpking the king of ghosts. It's got stats of
1800/2000 which isn't great for a 1 tribute monster.
But it gains 100 a turn for 4 turns if the castle of
dark illusions is on the field.
Simply put, even with the effect, this card is not
worth it for 1 tribute. With the Castle of Dark
Illusions, it gain go way up to 3000 attack, but it
will undoubtably be killed by magic or trap way before
you get to that point.
I give this card a 3.0/5. It's not too powerful, but
if you can protect it with some traps, you can get a
monster as powerful as BEWD for 1 tribute.
