Monday - Soul Release
Today we look at a card I rather dislike, Soul
release. You choose up to 5 cards from 1
graveyard
and remove them from the game.
Why dont I like this card? I run an Exodia deck.
This card is the bane of all exodia decks. Once
this
card removes a piece, most Exodia players will be left
with no options.
What else can it do? Well, you can combo is with
spear cretin so that only you can bring back a monster
with the effect. You can also remove vital magic
cards that the opponent plans to bring back with
magician of faith or mask of darkness.
I give this card a 2.8/5. I dont think that you
should run it in your main deck, but you should
definitely keep at least 1 in your side deck if you
run into an exodia deck. As for the exodia
players,
the only comfort I can offer is that there will be
future cards that will let you bring cards removed
from the game back into play.

Removing cards from the grave is always nice.
Not really main deck matierial, but bring it in from
the side against decks utilizing cards like Monster
Reborn and Magician of Faith. It's decent.

Monday - Soul Release
Soul Release allows you to take up to 5
cards in your opponent's Graveyard and remove them
from the game.
The best use to this is for countering Magician
of Faith. As we all know Magician of Faith
can be a very annoying mid to late game card. Being
able to stop them from reusing Swords of Revealing
Light, Dark Hole, Pot of Greed, ect. can help keep the
game in your favor.
Another good use for Soul Release is
stop Exodia from being ressurected via Hane-Hane
and Monster Reborn. I've seen an Exodia
player recover three parts of Exodia from his
Graveyard with that combo. A timely played Soul
Release will stop Exodia dead in its tracks.
IMO this card is best kept in the Side Deck. Even
though it can help you out versus Magician of
Faith, it still won't always win you the
game. Against Exodia, it will definitely change their
plans unless they counter it.
Rating: 2.4/5
I reccomend keeping atleast one in your Side Deck. |

Soul Release -- Monday
Introduction: Oh you are going to get that back, SOUL
RELEASE! Raigeki! Soul
Release! Monster Reborn! Soul Release
Normal Magic
Select up to 5 cards from either you or your
opponent's Graveyard and remove
them from the current Duel.
Why should you use it?
*Counter graveyard returning cards
Why shouldn't you use it?
*Waste of Space
*Not a Quick Play Magic/Trap
Reasons: We break the repetition of having Magic
Ruler, today we get a
pretty decent card from Metal Raiders. Today's cards
is the infamous, Soul
Release. This card can be good against Magicain of
Faiths, Monster Reborn,
and Painful Choice. Well that is really all this card
does, is mainly to
counter combos. Now this most of the time is a waste
of space, unless you
draw it at the end, for those turning point moves.
What could have made this
card ownage, would have been if it was a Quick Play
Magic or Trap Card.
Then right about when their about to use Magicain of
Faith, you bust this
out and it totally screws up their combo.
Rating: This card isn't that bad with today's
environment. This card works
best in tournament play, IMHO. Well I would give this
card a 3.0. It's not
that bad of a card, nor that good of a card. Maybe put
it in your side deck,
if you have room. Expect to card to see some play.
Conclusion: <Pegasus>I see the souls of many
magics being release
<YoNeX>Huh? <Pegasus>Use this card! <YoNeX>Silly
Pegasus, maybe you
shouldn't.......Time will tell

This card stops Magician
of Faith and Monster Reborn
in their tracks. Remove that ugly Raigeki,
Pot of Greed, or Summoned Skull
before they can save them from the graveyard.
5 cards is a lot to get rid of. I've had
this card used against me sometimes, and it wasn't
pretty. Also, gives Shadow Ghoul
a 500 point deduction (although Reverse
Trap can drop it further). If you
play a discard deck, you may want to put one or
two of these in. Currently, there is no way
to bring back cards removed from the game.
Enjoy.
Score: 3.1
It has potential, and
can be game-breaking, but it's very situational.
Tech one into a beatdown and see if it can't save
you the game.

Soul Release - Metal
Raiders - Common
Blah
don't ask me why we are reviewing a metal raiders
card. IQ picked this weeks send your complaints to him
:P hehe. Anyway, this card DID have some good
potential when metal raiders came out but with magic
ruler out this card is nothing really. We got hand
disruption, banisher of the light, gravekeepers
servant and such that this card is just a complete
waste of space. Should you play it? Nah don't bother.
If you play hand disruption or burner decks your
opponent wont even really get the chance to get magic
cards back. So yeah this card died when magic ruler
came out. R.I.P

Soul Release
You might think there's no reason why you should play
this card, but this is
one of the best cards to use against anyone who's
using three Magicians of
Faith. It also works really well against Mask of
Darkness or any decks that
try to use their discard pile to set up.
Is a great card to have in your side deck and random
people like me will
even use it in their main deck. Trust me when I say
this card will give your
opponent a headache, especially if he just dropped a
Magician of Faith face
down on you and you play this card before you attack.
This card will not
only make your opponent have three useless Monsters
with really low attack
and defense points but it will also frustrate him when
you remove his key
cards. No more Change of Heart, Pot of Greed or
anything like that for him.
