1,000 life is a bit steep,
but I guess to stop whatever nasty thing your opponent
has, it will do. Obviously something to hit them
with early and hope to ride the advantage to
victory. Stripping cards from your opponent's
hand has always been a strong theme in most any Card
Game, and this one should be no exception - especially
in a game where you only start with 5 cards in your
hand.

Confiscation -- Thursday
Introduction: You have a Raigeki in your hand, say
goodbye to it!
Normal Magic
Pay 1000 Life Points to look at your opponent's hand.
Select 1 card and
discard it to the Graveyard.
Why should you use it?
*Get rid of those nasty cards!
*Card advantage
Why shouldn't you use it?
*Pay 1000 Life Points can hurt at the end.
Reasons: Not much to say about this card, it get rid
of those nasty little
evil magics (not just for magic though) out there. It
can destroy that
precious Raigeki, SoRL, Change of Heart, etc. It can
also destroy an Exodia
deck if played right. Also you get card advantage
(well not really 1 for 1,
still good though). Now the horriblepoints, you must
pay 1000 Life Points to
use it, that is mainly it. This is one of those cards
you want to draw at
the begging, not the end, because in the end it's not
very helpful at all.
Rating: This card is a staple card in every deck, of
course this card is
going to be restricted, knowing Upper Deck and based
on japanese
restrictions. This card is great, but I rather go with
Delinquent Duo. I
would give this card a 3.3. Still a good card, but
Delinquent Duo is better
in my opinion.
Conclusion: Another major staple card.

Thursday - Confiscation
Today's COTD is confiscation. This card lets you
look
at the opponent's hand and discard 1 card for the low
price of 1000 LP.
This card is definitely best used on your first turn
when you go first. This allows you to discard a
card
from your opponent's hand before they have a chance to
set down their good monsters/traps. Also, you
have a
clear view of what the opponent's has in store for
you. Plus, you can break up any potential
game-breaking combos that they opponent has planned.
But later in the game, it becomes mediocre at best.
By this time, the opponent should have played or set
any good cards he has on the field, leaving this card
quite powerless to stop anything.
Obviously, this card spells death for exodia decks.
Currently, it is near impossible to get exodia pieces
back from the graveyard. But for you Exodia
players,
just wait til Pharoah's servant comes out. Then
it
will become rather easy to get back exodia pieces from
the grave.
I give this card a 3.5/5. It's great at the
beginning, but not really worth it as the game
progresses.

This doesn't need an extensive review.. Pay 1000 look
at their hand and take out that raigeki, swords,
monster reborn. Pairing 3 of these with the delinquent
duo, the forceful sentry will seriously have alot of
hand control. But we all know this will be restricted
without a doubt along with the duo. But even limit 1
per deck this card is a solid staple. Since 1 card can
always make the difference this will discard that and
never be used against you. The 1000 LP is kind of a
set back but it will be worth it if you get rid of
that raigeki.
Rating 4.5 ( 5.0 rating all the way if you didn't have
to pay 1000 LP)
