Tuesday - Ordeal of the Traveler
PGD-042
Common
Continuous Trap
You can activate this card's effect when your opponent
attacks. Your opponent randomly selects one card from
your hand and calls the type of card (Magic, Monster,
Trap). If your opponent calls it wrong, the attacking
monster is returned to to it's owner's hand.
Heh, this can be a pretty annoying card at certain
points during the duel. Although, it's only very
effective while you're holding multiple cards in your
hand. Not only will a good player call Magic or
Monster more often than Trap, but they will also begin
to catch on as the Duel goes by. Which means it ends
up being a very useless card.
Add in the fact that the usual Jinzo, Mystical Space
Typhoon, Heavy Storm, and Harpie's Feather Duster
screw it over, and you have a very mediocre Continuous
Trap card.
Good luck if you can use it to it's maximum potential.

This card reminds me of Coin Flips for some reason
*shudders*. Ordeal of a Traveler is a Continuous Trap
card that can be activated when your opponent attacks.
Then your opponent picks a card and guesses if its a
Magic, Trap, or Monster. If he calls it wrong, the
monster goes back to his hand.
This card is so evil. Its continuous, which makes it a
real pain because you have to be lucky every time you
attack with it on the field. If your opponent is
running beatdown they are gonna get extreeeeemely
stressed out. Not only that, but its a common! Wow!
Wish I had it...
Anyway, once your opponents monster goes back to
his/her hand, you have a chance to spring an attack
while their monster is in their hand. This card can
provide time and new draw phases to think about your
opponents views.
When you have no cards in your hand, this is the last
card you want. Its obviously going to be useless. Also
when you have less cards in your hand, its easier to
guess. Bleh.

This is actually a pretty interesting card. It works
for all of the opposing attacking monsters, and can
actually mean trouble if correctly used. There are a
couple of problems with this though. Not only is it a
game of risk, but you are actually showing cards from
your hand to the opponent. It would be a better idea
to use a Waboku instead, and just project yourself
from all monsters at once. The factor that makes
Waboku better then Ordeal of Traveler is its ability
to be chained to such cards as MST, Heavy Storm and
Harpie’s Feather Duster (all seriously played cards in
this game). If Ordeal of Traveler wasn’t as
situational as mentioned, it would have more
playability.

Just a bit too risky for my taste.
