Paladin of White Dragon
This monster can only be Ritual Summoned with the Ritual Spell Card "White Dragon Ritual". You must also offer monsters whose total Level Stars equal 4 or more as a Tribute from the field or your hand. When this monster attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the face-down monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or damage calculation. You can Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand or your deck by offering this card as a Tribute during your Main Phase. (Blue-Eyes White Dragon cannot attack that turn.)
Rituals aren't played that much due to the fact that you have to give up a lot to summon a ritual monster, which will probably end up dying in a few turns anyway. Continuing with that trend, this monster wont see much play. It requires at least 2 cards to summon and even after that, only has 1900 ATK. The sasuke samurai effect is sweet, but it doesn't even come close to what you had to give up to summon the monster. The added quick BEWD summoning ability is nice, but there are a lot faster and easier ways to summon BEWD, mainly through recursion. That is, for anybody who actually still uses BEWD...
I'd give this card 2.5/5. The only ritual monsters right now that are even remotely somewhat playable is Masked Beast and perhaps Relinquished. |

1900 ATK with Sasuke Samurai's effect is pretty good against Flip Effects and nasty things like Spirit Reaper. The ability to Special Summon a Blue-Eyes from your hand or deck is pretty excellent too. Too bad you can't attack with the newly summoned Blue-Eyes until your next turn. Anyways, summon Paladin, attack, Special Summon Blue-Eyes to protect yourself. That's not a bad maneuver.
Unfortunately, Ritual Monsters are generally not worth the effort and this is no exception. Needing the Ritual Spell Card as well as the Ritual Monster AND also having enough stars worth of monsters on the field to Tribute makes this a tough one to pull off. You can speed things up with Senju and stuff like that but do you really want to waste slots in your deck when you're trying to get out your gigantic monster? Being 4 stars does make it easier to find Tribute material but that doesn't really save this.
This is a fun card to play and is certainly an excellent card in any deck that focuses on Blue-Eyes White Dragon. However, it's too slow and has too many drawbacks for tournament play.

Paladin of White Dragon can be a very fun card. It's a 1900 attack level 4 monster, but the fact that it's a ritual makes it a bit slow for its level. If you don't even have any level 4 monsters on the field, you're sacrificing 2 monsters for 1900 attack.
The sasuke samurai effect is definitely be a nice add-on for the monster, especially to shut down irritating flip effect monsters. Then you can just use the Paladin effect to bring out Blue Eyes on Main Phase 2. But why? Blue eyes will just be a big target to change of heart, snatch steal, Jowls of Dark Demise, Raigeki, dark hole, Tribe Infecting Virus...you get the idea.
Constructed: 2/5
I love this card to death. It's really cool, and you can always use ritual support like Senju and Sonic Bird to bring it out. But right now, there's just too much to work against its effect, which is the very point of running it. Perhaps when Explosive Burst Stream comes out in English, I'll boost its rating.
Limited: 1/5
Wow. You pulled Paladin of White Dragon. Now all you need to do is pull the impossibly hard to find ritual spell for it...and get some support for it. Yea... |

Card Number MFC-026
Ultra Rare
Upsides:
Special Summon
1900 ATK for 4 Stars
Searchable 1200 DEF
Can bring out Blues Eyes quickly
Can you say,”SASUKE!!” (Gets rid of nasty flips)
Down Sides:
Ritual Monster
Relies on magic to be summoned
Can only summon 1 Blue Eyes
Blue Eyes can’t attack that turn
Have to offer this for that Blue Eyes
In Casual, I like this card. Mainly because of it’s Sasuke Samurai effect, but also because of it’s ability to bring out Blue Eyes faster. It could actually make him a little more playable.
In Tourney, if he isn’t in a Dragon Deck, he won’t be that great, but he could also work in a Beatdown as well. A Special Summoned 1900 ATk with a Normal Summon left can give you the tribute monster you need, or can give you the extra power needed to finish off your opponent. Decent card in Beatdown, but it’s better in a Dragon
Deck (with Blue Eyes of course).
In Sealed, you would have to be really lucky to pull him and his ritual magic card in the same booster, so unless you have this kind of luck, he should not even get side decked. If you do pull him and his magic card, play it. An extra 1900 attacker is always a plus.
I give the Paladin of White Dragon a 8.3/10(Dragon Deck), 7.3/10(Beatdown and Any other deck type)
C. Rating: 6.0
T. Rating: 6.2(Dragon Deck), 5.6(Beatdown Deck), 3.0(Any other deck type)
S. Rating: 1.0(Pulled w/o Magic card), 6.2(Pulled with Magic card)
