Monday - Book Of Moon:
PGD-035 Rare
Magic Card: Quick Play:
Flip 1 face-up monster on the field into face-down Defense Position
This card can become very useful, besides using it on flip monsters to get a chance to use their effect again, it's quick play so you can use it when your opponent attacks with a monster to stop the attack. It can also make more use of NoC and Sasuke Samurai, as well as maybe giving you a chance to activate Ceasefire since there has to be a face-down monster on the field. Or if your opponent has a high atk/ low def monster out, you can make it more vulnerable to be attacked.
I figure most people will use Book Of Moon with Book of Taiyou to instantly reuse flip effects but it can be a good tech card in different situations too. Say your opponent plays an equip card, Fissure, Secret Passage or anything that can only target a face-up monster, you can screw them over by turning the selected monster face-down. It's also a cheap way to destroy Spirit Reaper since anything targeting him instantly destroys him. Or even use it when Ring Of Destruction targets a monster, turn a Gora Turtle face-down so you can attack with a 1900+ monster, and even turn a Spirit monster face-down so it can stay on the field for you to attack next turn (good way to keep Yata on the field to be destroyed).
I might put one of these in my deck since it can be used to counter a lot of things, but it can still be useless at times, just like any other card I guess. I'm sure you can find allot more uses than I have with some play testing.

Casual: 2.5
Tourney: 2.0
ArtWork: 3.5 - Nice detail, looks like it would take awhile to read, probably worth it though. Learned how to read Egyptian and translated the cover... The most I could figure out was " to set down or lay life on land" it kinda makes sense. |

Book of Moon, 7/28/03:
Glad we're reviewing PGD cards. Book of Moon is fairly mediocre since all it does is help you reuse flip effects WHEN THE FLIP MONSTER DOESN'T DIE IN BATTLE. Since monsters are flipped during the damage step, you ***CANNOT*** use this card to flip your monster back face-down before it's destroyed.
That being said, this card has some sick combos with Book of Taiyou and good flip effect monsters (like maybe Morphing Jar or Needle Worm: major deck out). Not to mention the combos with the new flip effects from PGD.
Warning: When an effect says "When this card is flip summoned, blah blah blah," it is NOT activated when that card is flipped in battle. ONLY flip summons. The advantage is that, since it doesn't count as a flip effect, it's not negated by Royal Command. Effects that go "When this card is flipped face-up" ARE activated in battle, but AREN'T negated by Royal Command.
Warning #2: Light of Intervention does NOT negate this card. Light of Intervention only prevents monsters from being set. This card does not set them, it merely changes their mode.
There are also some pretty nice combos with Jowls of Dark Demise and Fusioh Richie (I know some people who are really angry about that name change, btw :P): one of them will take control of a bunch of your opponents monsters, and the other will revive a bunch of monsters! Niiice.
Rating:
Casual: 4/5 (because it's good for the sick combos)
Tourney: 3.5/5 (because it's good for the sick combos)
I'd say it was crap because flip effects could be negated by Royal Command, if it weren't for the little fact that Fusioh Richie's effect isn't a flip effect. Happy dueling.

Flip 1 face-up monster on the field into face-down Defense Position.
Magic Card
Quick-Play Magic
Card Number PGD-035
Card ID No. 14087893
Rare
Personally, I like this card. Its key is that it’s quick play. So if set it can be activated to block an attack leaving something like GAF in def for Spear dragon or another monster to destroy. Another nicety of this card is to chain against mirror force, allowing a defense next turn (not sure if you can re-flip). Also this works well with and against Yata. If your opponent uses Yata, with this card you can trap it on the field and pick it off, or if you have Yata with this card you can keep it on the field to allow another summon. And as I learned recently, it can help block Lava Golem’s effect ^_^;;; . Overall I think it’s a good card.
