wartortle32 Ominous Fortunetelling

During your standby phase, select 1 card randomly from your opponent's hand and call it (Monster, Magic or Trap). If you call it right, inflict 700 points of direct damage to your opponent's life points. You can only use this effect once per turn.

At the very least, this card lets you glimpse what the opponent has in his hand so that you can be better prepared for what the opponent has in store for you. But I don't see much use of this card besides a burn deck. Multiple copies of this card can be very damaging and as time goes on, you will have a better shot at guessing what is in the opponent's hand as you will probably have seen most of it by then.

I'd give this card a 2.5/5. One final note on this card: You cannot combine this with cards that let you look at the opponent's hand such as Eye of Truth.

Meh, this must be a slump or something. I don't have a witty remark for today, either. Oh well, on to the review...

Ehhh, I don't see the point to this card. Unless your opponent has a really small hand, this is basically a crapshoot for a petty amount of damage. Now, if you have 2 or 3 of these in play, then your opponent may have something to worry about, and in a straight burner, that might actually be worth it. However, unless you're running a straight burner, I declare this card "waste of space".

*gives it the Two-Pronged Attack award*

Score: 1.9 (only because it's mediocre in burner decks)

I love this card. I love it even more when I have both of mine on the field. Lets see… ancient telescope… and then I go… Magic, Monster, Magic, Trap, Monster… 700 x 2 x 5 = 700 x 10 = 7000 LP damage

This is another handy card. Its like… free LP damage…

Remember Pegasus’ guessing game card? (name escapes me), well, this is kind of similar. Except you don’t get the card put into your hand, you just deliver some nice LP damage.

4.5/5 – you’ve got at least a 1 in 3 chance of doing 700 LP damage every turn.
