Second Coin Toss
As long as this card remains face-up on the field, you can negate the effects of a card requiring a coin toss once per turn and redo the coin toss.
The main cards that this can affect are Time Wizard or Fairy Box. This card's power is limited by the amount of cards that use coins. There simply isn't much coin flipping in this game. (unlike pokemon where this card would be amazing). Until we get some more cards that require a coin, this wont see much play. The best card to use with this right now is fairy box. This only gives the opponent a 25% chance of successfully pulling off an attack.
I'd give this card a 2/5. Simply not enough cards to combo with this to make it effective.

Wednesday - Second Coin Toss
We'd all like a second chance at things. Unfortunately, we normally only get one. Such is the case in this game. However, this card gives you a second chance at flipping coins, and as we all know, it's always good to have a second chance at that.

Let's make a list of cards that this will help, shall we?
Barrel Dragon
Fairy Box
Gamble
Goddess of Whim
Jirai Gumo
Time Wizard
That's all I can think of right now (there's probably more).
As you can see, that makes this a limited card. Sure, you could make an entire deck based around the above 6 cards and SCT, but that would be kind of odd o.O (however, it would be quite entertaining).
Looking at the statistics, each of the above have a 50% chance of a positive effect (yes, even Barrel Dragon, because it has 4 outcomes with 2 or 3 heads out of 8 total). If you use Second Coin Toss, those chances effectively go to 75%, because you would need two consecutive negative outcomes to be screwed. 75% is a VERY good percentage when we're talking about coin flips. That's like having a 4 sided dice with 3 of the sides saying "You win". Very good odds.
This card isn't that bad, it's just that it only works with a limited number of cards, and is VERY dependant. However, should you choose to make a deck built around coin flipping, this is a card you should strongly consider.

Ever reeeeeeeally need that time wizard to be heads to stay in the game? fairy box flips not going your way? if this sounds like you then you need a little card called second coin toss.
As the name implies, once per card per card you can reflip an awry coin flip. now this card would be very playable and useful if there were more coin flips in ygo, but as it stands now, they are very few and far between, and even the cards that DO have coin flips, aren’t the most played as is.
If you are playing a fairy box deck, by all means throw some of these in. it gives you a greater chance of stopping the attack, especially with a couple of these or fairy boxes out. of course, if you are prone to people playing fairy box against you, you might want to sidedeck one or two of these as well.
casual: [3/5] if you have a deck that relies on coin flips, (which probably isn’t too many types of deck) then this card is essential. otherwise, it’s a moderate sidedeck card if you are having fairy box problems, although you would be better off to have mt removal instead.
Serious: [2/5] this card isn’t going to see much playtime in tournaments, as there just isn’t that many cards that benefit from it.
Draft: [1/5] if you are drafting just lod, avoid this if at all possible since there are no cards at all in the set that take advantage of this. if you are drafting a combination of sets, its usefulness all depends upon what sets, and what you’ve been able to draft.

Meh, not bad... you're kind of dumb if you're playing this because you have a whole bunch of coin-toss cards though... because you really shouldn't be playing a whole bunch of chance cards. Time Wizard, Jirai
Gumo... that's all I can think of that's a good 'toss card... This can definitely help you, but its way too esoteric (applying only to a certain group... AKA, situational) For my liking...
1.5/5 - you really should stay away from all coin toss cards, but if you insist, I insist you play one of these... or... not, you know, whatever you prefer |
