Ryu Senshi
If you know me, you would know that I don't like
Fusions that much, unless they have game breaking
effects like The Last Warrior From Another Planet. Ryu
Senshi is pretty decent and your opponent cannot
Change of Heart/Snatch Steal/Tribute to the Doomed it.
However, you can't power it up and 2000ATK isn't that
high. Bazoo and Goblin Attack Force just kills it in
battle. Now, the trap Negation is nice as it's better
than Jinzo in some cases. You can play HEAVY Traps to
protect your Ryu Senshi and still get rid of your
opponent's Mirror Force and Magic Cylinder. Most
players don't play too many Trap cards thanks to Jinzo.
I guess the card is decent, but the main problem is
the ATK. If it was at least 2400, I might have
considered playing it. But it's just a bit too weak
and slow to play in Tourneys.

Ryu Senshi
This monster can only be Fusion Summoned by "Warrior Dai Greyfar" + "Spirit Ryu". Negate the effect of a Trap Card by paying 1000 Life Points. Also negates the effect of a Magic Card that specifically designates this card as a target and destroys it.
I dont think this fusion monster is worth the trouble. It's attack is only 2000. If I'm using fusions, I want at least 2600+ attack power. The added effect of a constant 7 tools is nice, but you probably wont end up using the effect more than once before the opponent destroys this monster. Plus the ryoku field effect wont see much play as there isn't many targeted magic cards around besides equips.
I give it 3.0/5. Not worth the trouble of fusing together. |

Wednesday - Ryu Senshi
Today we're going to look at probably the weakest holo Warrior-related card, Ryu Senshi.
This guy has THREE effects. Wow, wouldn't that make him good? Well, one of them is related to his Fusion status, and it's negative =/ The other two aren't that bad.
1. This monster can only be Fusion Summoend by the above Fusion Material monsters. ("Warrior Dai Greyfar" + "Spirit Ryu")
Yep, no Fusion Subs, so you have to run both of them. Dai Greyfar is a 4/1700/1600/no effect Warrior, and Spirit Ryu is a 4/1000/1000 monster that allows you to discard a Dragon-type monster from your hand during your Battle Step to increase its ATK/DEF by 1000. Ehhh, in other words, not too gamebreaking.
2. Negate the effect of a Trap Card by paying 1000 Life Points.
Hey, spiffy, it's a multi-use Seven Tools of the Bandit! If Jinzo could singularly target Trap cards, it would be banned. This effect kind of redeems him, because otherwise, he'd be useless :/
3. Also negates the effect of a Magic Card that specifically designates this card as a target and destroys it.
*cuts and pastes from Freed's entry on Monday*
This means no Change of Heart, no Snatch Steal, no Ekibyo Drakmord (but who still uses that?), but that also means no Axe, no UWS, and so on. However, you can still use Change of Heart, Tribute to the Doomed, Nobleman of Crossout, etc. if he's face-down, but who in their right mind would play this guy face-down? :/ You can, to the best of my knowledge, use Monster Reborn to revive this guy, but Premature Burial might not work, because it must remain equipped to Freed while he's on the field. Since his effect activates when he hits the field, Premature would be destroyed, and Ryu would be destroyed. They really need to rule on this ~_~
Ehhh, I don't like this guy, but he's a Warrior, and there were no other holo Warrior cards other than the 5 we're doing this week (Dragons got more ~_~), meh. Play at your own discretion.

Wednesday - Ryu Senshi
LOD-019
Earth/Warrior/Fusion/5/2000/1200
"Warrior Dai Greyfar" + "Spirit Ryu"
This monster can only be Fusion Summoned by the above Fusion Material monsters. Negate the effect of a Trap Card by paying 1000 Life Points. Also negates the effect of a Magic Card that specifically designates this card as a target and destroys it.
Super Rare
Today we take a look at a different type of Warrior, a Fusion-Warrior. Well, to put bluntly, _most_ Fusions suck. This one really isn't very different.
The ability to Negate Traps is pretty cool, but the Effect is directly inferior to Jinzo since you have to pay Life Points for it to go off.
At least this Monster won't hurt your own Trap cards. The Effect is nothing amazing in my opinion.
The next Effect Ryu Senshi has is the basic "Cannot be targeted by Magic cards" Effect we've been seeing some of lately. Just like the other Monster(s), this doesn't Effect a wide variety of playable Magic cards. A mediocre Effect at best.
Personally, I wouldn't go through all the trouble to Special Summon this Monster. It's definitely not a Warrior I'd use in a Warrior-based deck.
