Tuesday - Bottomless Trap Hole
When your opponent Normal Summons, Flip Summons, or Special Summons a monster with an ATK of 1500 or more, the monster is destroyed and removed from play.
We all know that Trap Hole has been officially obsolete for some time. Now this upgraded version, Bottomless Trap Hole, is a solid Side Deck option. If you ever run into a Fusion deck that's giving you some Trouble, Bottomless Trap Hole is not a bad card to side in. Not only will you destroy the threat (Last Warrior From Another Planet, ECT), but you will also be removing it from play. Thus not allowing you're opponent to revive it.
Besides Fusions, Bottomless Trap Hole can help against any deck that plays some sort of game winning threat, such as The Legendary Fisherman, for example.
Why not play it in the Main Deck? There are a few reasons for this. The first being that playing too many Trap cards is not a very good idea with Jinzo, Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm, and Harpies Feather Duster running around. Secondly, I would much rather play Torrential Tribute over this because of the higher card advantage possibility.

Now here's a card that has some potential! Let's take a look:
Bottomless Trap Hole
When a monster is summoned in any way (Special Summon, Normal Summon, etc.), you can use this card to remove that monster from the current duel. However, this can only work if the opponent's monster has an attack strength of 1500 or more.
Well, this card has its ups and downs. It can remove monsters from play, which makes it dangerous combined with Fiber Jar. Plus it can take care of any big monster and make sure that it can't be revived.
However, it can't stop some of the best 1000- ATK monsters, like White Magical Hat, Cannon Solider, Sangan, Witch, Marauding Captain, etc.
Rating: 3/5. It can help against the generic beatdown, but side deck the normal Trap Hole for hand disruption/burn decks, etc. |

Bottomless Trap Hole
When your opponent Normal Summons, Flip Summons, or Special Summons a monster with an ATK of 1500 or more, the monster is destroyed and removed from play.
Trap Hole X 2… except for the added Attack required…
Lets compare this to normal Trap Hole.
- ATK of 1000 or more, normal and flip summon only, monster goes to the graveyard
Well, interesting added effects… the monster is removed from play, Special summon included… I can definitely see where you'd want this card…
Fusions, rituals and Reborns are all dead and buried (and removed) (assuming they meet the 1500 ATK requirement)
I don't know what to say to this card… it has its advantages and disadvantages…
If you're against a beatdown, this is great, if not, watch out for your opponent using cards that don't fit the criteria - however, this is true of normal Trap Hole as well
I should point out, that except for like… Hayabusa Knight, I cant come up with a decent card with an ATK between 1000 and 1500 that I can think of, that people actually use these days…
As such, Im forced to say that this card is in fact better than its Not-quite-so bottomless brother.
I'll give this card a 4/5… its got definite advantages over its brother… just be careful with that ATK requirement. |
