Magic Card: Normal
Effect: Flip 1 face-down monster on the field into
face-up Attack Position.
This Book is less useable than Book Of Moon, simply
because it's not QuickPlay and Moon is. But it is
still a powerful card, you can use it to flip a
flip-effect monster in the same turn it was set or to
flip a re-flip type monster (Guardian Sphinx) after
using their own effect to be flipped face-down. You
can easily abuse Book Of Taiyou and Book Of Moon
together, being able to reuse effects over and over
can speed up destruction on the opponent.
I wouldn't think this card to be used on the
opponents’ monster, unless maybe you know they have a
set Man-Eater Bug and you have no monsters on the
field causing Man-Eater to destroy either itself or
another monster on their field. See... Book Of Moon
makes Nobleman Of Crossout more playable, and you
could say Book Of Taiyou makes Fissure more playable,
but it really doesn't effect the whole Meta-Game the
same way. I would really only use this card in a Deck
that relies on allot of Flip-Effect Monsters or any of
Re-Flip type Monsters like Des lacooda, Royal Keeper,
Fushioh Richie, Swarm Of Locusts/Scarabs and many
others.

Normal Magic
Flip 1 face-down monster on the field into face-up
Attack Position.
Book of Moon's brother. This has a lot of potential in
the right deck.
I like this card but not nearly as much as Book of
Moon. Wanna make sure you get your flip effect? Put
that monster down then activate Book of Taiyou and
you're all set. This isn't really worth it for things
like Magician of Faith unless you REALLY need that
card in the graveyard that badly since you're using 2
cards to get 1 back, not to mention the fact that
you're leaving Magician wide open for a big attack.
Some of the better flip effects you can use this for
are Needle Worm, Morphing Jar, Cyber Jar and Fiber
Jar. Where this card really shines is when you know or
suspect that your opponent just set a Fiber or Cyber
Jar - you can use this to flip it yourself and then
lay a big hurtin' on your opponent. It's also great
for when your opponent is on the ropes and setting all
their monsters and works wonders with annoying cards
like Guardian Sphinx.
This card has a really nice combo with The Shallow
Grave. You can get your monster from the graveyard
then use this to put it into attack mode.
This card would be so much better if it were quickplay.
You could flip your opponent's monster into attack
mode just as you Mirror Force it, use it on your own
monster as your opponent attacks it or save your
monster from a Nobleman of Crossout. But it isn't so I
won't cry about it anymore. The other drawback is that
this only works on facedown monsters. So if you've
already attacked that set Spirit Reaper, this won't
help you and you can't use it to switch your Goblin
Attack Force back into attack mode.
I like this card. It's useful in many situations and
can be quite gamebreaking in the right situation. It's
not for every deck but you should try it out to see if
you like it.
