Reload is one of IOC's super rare spells, transforming
to holo from its Japanese common counterpart. The
question is...why?
So, you can chain to Duster, Storm, or Typhoon, and
you basically "mulligan", as in you get a new hand
minus one card. Wow, how game changing! Granted, it
can help get rid of pointless crap in your hand for
some better to almost the same crap...wait, that's
not getting very positive.
This card is good for burning cards into the
graveyard and has its uses, most of them belonging
to the Japanese game right now. Otherwise, I'd stay
away from this.
Constructed- 1.5/5
Limited: 3/5
This spell is a much better pick in limited, where
the deck is half the size, so you'll have a better
chance to draw cards you actually want in case you
get a terrible hand. |

I like this card. When I first played my chaos deck it
actually helped me draw the cards I needed. I would
also take this card over Card Destruction for two
reasons. First, your opponent does not get the
effect, it is all you. Secondly, it is quickplay, so
if you want to draw one more card...you can set it
then activate it on your opponents turn. Getting a
fresh hand is pretty vital in this game. If you're
playing a chaos deck, you can combo this with
Thunder Dragon. Toss Thunder Dragon, get two more
into your hand...and you get two more cards for your
reload.
The downside to this card is topdecking it, you can
topdeck it and it would be dead in hand. But hey,
that's true for a lot of cards. The only real issue
would be space, making room for it would be pretty
tough, especially if you want to play multiples.
Constructed - 4/5
Limited - 4.9/5 - there is no perfect card
Closing Line - CHICK CHICK...RELOOAAAAD.. AHH I

Tuesday:
Reload
This card can be very useful in the right decks, but
is not something you typically want to be using on a
regular basis. It gets you a reshuffle...and if you
have a hand full of crap, then this could be your
savior. However, every time you play it, you lose 1
card. You have 5 cards, play the Reload, and get
back 4. You could get away with something like this
before the pre-negates became near-staples, but now,
it's just one step closer to getting Yata-Locked.
Some exceptions:
*Chaos decks. These decks are typically able to get
their monsters into the discard fast -- Painful
Choice, Morphing Jar (for those who can afford it or
trade for it)...they have no way to SEARCH the Chaos
monsters, so this gives them a second shot at
drawing them.
*Exodia decks. If your opening draw is crap, you
kinda lose...but since you're trying to keep as many
cards in hand as possible, this can get you a whole
new set of options.
*Setting Reload in general. This thing IS
Quick-Play. Abuse that. If you're going to lose 1
card, why not get your opponent to have wasted a
MST/HFD/Heavy Storm on it? Then you can point at
them and laugh.
This card can get you the card you need to win the
game...or lose you the hand advantage necessary to
keep you in the game. Use it wisely.

Stats:
It’s a Quick-Play Spell card which is good… I
think? Honestly, as you’ll see, I really don’t
get this card…
Effect(s):
…okay, I suppose its effect-which lets you
shuffle your hand into your deck and then draw
the same amount of cards. Yeah. On its own
this isn’t a bad effect, but…
Uses/Combinations:
…Yu-Gi-Oh is not known for having large hand
sizes. Instead, hand size only swells due to
the occasional Jar use or a fluke multiple draw
card run. After all, your maximum End Phase
hand size is 6. I can’t think of any good
combos…
Ratings
Casual:
2/5-Hand sizes creep up here, so maybe it could
be useful.
Constructed:
1.5/5-Why? You’re better off adding something
useful to draw!
Limited:
3/5-Hand sizes tend to swell here, so it might
actually help out okay.
Summary
Reload is false advertising: when you reload
something, that thing generally gets
“refilled”. The load part is right though. I
guess there is a way for this card to be
saved-find a way to make the effect reusable.
If t were a permanent Spell, or maybe an effect
tacked on an otherwise decent monster, cycling
through a deck would work.
