Wednesday: Hyper Hammerhead
Rated For: Dinosaur Deck, Field Control Deck
Wow,
an actually decent dinosaur? Rejoice, for Hyper
Hammerhead is the most versatile and best overall
dinosaur in the game! But then, there are only
eleven dinosaurs, right? Is he good enough? Let's
take a look.
Advantage F/H:
1500
attack is decent. However, his effect is fabulous.
If you set him, he basically works as a Hane-Hane.
If higher tribute monsters attack him face-up, he
returns them as well. Hyper Hammerhead can
definitely be a thorn in your opponent's side. Try
playtesting him, he can actually work quite well.
7/10.
Best
Draw for the Situation:
Hyper Hammerhead can come in quite handy, especially
when you're getting it handed to you by tribute
monsters or powerful monstrosities. Simply whisk the
monster back to the hand, forcing your opponent to
waste normal summons and possibly providing a clear
field for attack. He's decent in every phase of
play, but never truly spectacular because of the
weak attack. 7/10.
Attributes/Effect:
1500/1200 is nice but not great. It makes him
searchable by everything including Giant Rat, and
his effect is also solid. A higher defense and
attack in the 1600 range would have been nice,
though. Though he's decent enough as is, is stats
really hold him back. He doesn't benefit from
dino-themed cards, however, so he doesn't get an
obscene score for his subtype like Driceratops
did. 6/10.
Dependability:
As
long as he's in battle, you'll either be killing
something or returning something. Can't really beat
that. Of course, with 1500 attack, he won't be
killing many things, and will probably only return
one thing.
6/10.
The
Bottom Line:
Certainly the best dinosaur outside of Gilasaurus in
a Scientist deck.
A
BAD Score: 26/40= 63/100
Cards it combos with:
Don
Zaloog, Spirit Reaper, Robbin Goblin, White Magical
Hat, D.D Designator, Trap Dustshoot, Waboku. |
