I hated the past 3 reviews. I don't like doing really
generic cards when I can avoid it, and the past
three are generic. I see them everywhere. This is
anything but generic.
The past two reviews have both earned the title of
goat killer. This is goat killer with a revenge on
steroids meets its long lost brother re-elected for
another term of tyranny. Let's go over its pluses.
It's chainable. It's free. It's attack stoppage. It
will keep them from keeping that Spirit Reaper in
DEF. It is a bit of a surprise and definitely hurts
against Goats. It stops popular cards like Berserk
Gorilla and Tribe-Infecting Virus while sticking
them in a delicate position (on their knees) or
killing them. It has a funny name and cool art, and
is sick-looking as a Promo secret.
So where does its usefulness stop? Well, when they
have Jinzo or no face-up monsters on the field. That
simple.
Problem is, it still puts monsters in a position
many of them never see. Monsters aren't really
acknowledged for having _well-rounded_ ATK and DEF.
Berserk Gorilla is killed easily by a Tsukuyomi or a
Gravekeeper's Assailant effect. It's all in effect
or one insanely high stat. No well-roundedness.
Which is why noone is going to play Igzarion
Universe when it's a solid monster. People will
always make the mistake of putting in monsters that
aren't well-rounded, and thus this will always be
effective when an offensive deck is playing another
offensive deck. Berserks to DEF while your monsters
stay alive. Zero Gravity, its cousin, would be just
as good if you run Goblin Attack Force.
I have three, and all of them go in most of my
decks. When I had one, it went in most of my decks.
Two, most of my decks. Three, it's going in most of
my decks. That should give you my opinion of the
card.
1/5 Traditional. The problem with Traditional is
that they still have field clearers. High attack is
sacrificed for strong effect. Chances are, this
won't ever see as much play as Waboku.
5920316/5 Advanced. Overall, HIGHLY useful. If you
find one, try and get it. It's worth it. This is a
good deal of bias showing out, but I don't care
myself.

Windstorm of Etaqua
What’s not to love about Windstorm of Etaqua? It’s
a Normal Trap, thus chainable; it’s got a useful
effect, and there are some deliciously evil combos
with it.
Your opponent’s Berserk Gorillas are no more. Those
Sheep Tokens he just summoned aren’t going to do him
much good. That army of beatsticks he was about to
pound you with has to wait till next turn to attack,
and there’s a nice chance you’ll be able to deal
with them before then. Yes, it’s a useful card.
Try running it with Tragedy, from Rise of Destiny.
Change your opponent’s monsters to Defense Position,
then kill them! Run it with Ninja Grandmaster
Sasuke – put your opponent’s monsters in DEF and
Sasuke will pick them right off. Run it with
tramplers like Airknight and Spear Dragon. There
are many uses for this card, clearly a very small
number of which are occurring to me now. Try it out
and see whether you like it.
Traditional – CCCC: 3/5
Traditional – Trample: 4/5

Windstorm of Etaqua
As Competitive Tournament Card week progresses, we
get back to a card I’ve seen in a Tournament before.
Today’s card is Windstorm of Etaqua, a Trap that can
ruin your opponent’s plans.
Windstorm of Etaqua forces all of your opponent’s
face-up monsters to change their positions. It’s a
nifty effect considering most Attack monsters have a
low DEF and most Defense monsters have a low ATK.
With this in mind, activating Windstorm of Etaqua
could allow you to destroy a stronger monster or get
rid of wall/effect monster, as well as do some
damage to the opponent’s Life Points. Other than
that, there isn’t much else to Windstorm of Etaqua.
It’s a Trap that requires good timing to be
successful.
Windstorm of Etaqua works well against a few
commonly played cards. As seems to be the norm these
past few days, it works well against Scapegoat. Just
activate Windstorm of Etaqua and your opponent has
four Attack Position monsters with 0 ATK. You could
just think of it as attacking their Life Points
directly. Another common card in a competitive
environment is Berserk Gorilla. Just activate
Windstorm of Etaqua while Berserk Gorilla is on the
field to force it in to Defense Position. Doing so
will make Berserk Gorilla destroy itself through its
effect.
Like most of the cards this week, Windstorm of
Etaqua is best Side Decked if you plan to use it.
Stall Decks may enjoy it’ company but they’ve
already got Level Limit – Area B, Messenger of
Peace, and Gravity Bind, so they really don’t need
it.
If you feel Windstorm of Etaqua could be useful to
you and you manage to find one, consider Side
Decking it; it could end up coming in handy.
Advanced Format: 3.5/5. There are plenty of monsters
to use Windstorm of Etaqua against.
Traditional Format: 3.5/5. There are plenty of
monsters to use Windstorm of Etaqua against.
Overall: 3.5/5.
Art: 2.5/5. I like parrots more than I do crows only
because parrots don’t wake me up at 5 A.M.

Windstorm of Etaqua
This card should
have been in Underrated Traps week, too.
Shifting everyone's
position is good (especially as an end of turn
chain), but there are many specific uses that
this card has.
Let's look at a few
key things:
*Berserk Gorilla
dies from it.
*It saves you for
one turn if done before/in battle phase.
*Opposing Scapegoats
+ this + your Asura priest = ouch.
*Monsters typically
have lower Defense scores than attack scores.
If nothing else, this lets you kill a monster
that you couldn't normally (Mobius, Blade
Knight, GAF)
I don't have a lot
more to say on this card -- I'm sure the other
CotD reviewers will come up with additional
combos. It's just a good card overall that no
one realizes because better cards are used.
2.5/5 mained, 3.5/5

Windstorm of
Etaqua
Rated For: Any
Deck
This week might as
well be called Scapegoat counter week. Thursday
brings us one of the most overlooked trap cards in
the game, Windstorm of Etaqua, a card that functions
similarly to Zero Gravity, but is actually superior
in most cases.
You can use this card
to destroy your opponent's Berserk Gorillas, and
change all of their scapegoat tokens to attack
position! Great tech against such a metagame, try
testing it out and see what happens.
Advantage F/H:
Assuming
you're running the right type of deck, this card
will really help you take down some of your
opponent's bigger threats. Since high attack
monsters usually pack lower defenses, this card will
coax weaker defense position monsters out of hiding
and weaken the powerhouses. Use it at the right time
and you'll be able to either inflict hefty life
point damage or destroy a few monsters.

A:
7.5/10
Best Draw for the
Situation:
In numerous
situations this card is far superior to its closest
counterpart, Enemy Controller. If your opponent has
two monsters in his battle phase, you're going to
save your lifepoints. Unfortunately, as with all
other "tech" traps/spells, they can become horrible
topdecks and rely on other cards to work
effectively.

6/10

Attributes/Effect:
It is chainable, meaning you'll be able to use it on Mobius and all your
other friends. It's effect is not exactly
game-breaking, but it's one of the best counters to
Berserk Gorilla, Scapegoat, and it's almost a trap
version of Enemy Controller/Book of Moon without
their better effects (Taking Control of
monster/Re-using Flip Effects). It influences all
your opponent's monsters, so it can be golden in the
right deck.
T:

Dependability:
This is
simply a great card for an attack force. If you can
maintain any type of field presence, this card will
work wonders. I recommend it most for Beast decks,
because it will definitely protect your Enraged
Battle Ox AND add up some life point damage in a
heap. Your mileage may vary.

The Bottom Line:
Sweet, oft-overlooked card.
A BAD Score:
3.5/5

3.5/5 Advanced
Cards it functions
well with:
Trample monsters (Airknight,
Enraged)
