Wednesday:
The Agent of Judgment -- Saturn
This card is a good choice for second (or third!)
tribute monster for a Fairy deck. It can match a
Jinzo, is searchable (better be with 0 defense), and
has a burn-like effect. If you give up attacking for
a turn, you can do some heavy damage -- if your life
points are higher than your opponent's.
There are a couple of problems:
*You'll need to be playing a stall deck (or have
inflicted heavy damage on a previous turn) for this
to be superbly effective. Stall decks can afford not
to attack for a turn, and you can also afford not to
attack if this thing's effect will win you the game.
*The sinister six (again). I'm not sure EXACTLY if
this works, but if a player declares they are going
to use this effect, and the other player chains MST
to Sanctuary in the Sky in response, I THINK (am not
sure) the player still loses their monster and
Battle Phase, but does no burn damage. We'll have to
see what the NetReps say (or have said) on this
card.
It's not bad on its own -- it just needs some life
gain or quick burn in order to be more effective.

Wednesday: The Agent of Judgment – Saturn
This is the kind of monster I like to see. First of
all, it has good stats: Witchable, one tribute, and
2400 ATK is always useful. The effect just adds to
that. Much like Mars, this effect works best if your
Life Points are much higher than your opponent's.
So yes, you can utilize LP gaining cards; or you
could even decide to go the opposite route and use
Burn cards. Getting your opponent's Life Points
extremely low when yours are relatively high and
then summoning Saturn will usually spell game.
Say you're at 6000 and your opponent's at 3000. Get
out Saturn and the duel is over. THAT is powerful.

The Agent of Judgment – Saturn is another one of the
newest Angels from Ancient Sanctuary, this one being
the only Agent to gain an Ultra Rare status.
With an attack of 2400 Saturn can go head to head
with Jinzo, any many other tribute monsters that are
commonly found in today’s decks. Saturn’s 0 Defense
makes searching him with Witch of the Black Forrest
a wise choice.
When using Saturn’s effect, keep in mind you have
summoning priority, so if someone tried to Trap
hole, or Torrential Tribute your newly summoned
Saturn you may immediately use his effect as long as
The Sanctuary in the Sky is in play.
Saturn’s effect comes with 2 downsides. The first is
Saturn himself will be sacrificed to trigger his own
effect this leaves you without your strong monster
on the field to protect you. The second downside to
his effect is you have to skip your battle phase to
activate it, however like Mars the payoff has the
possibility to be limitless.
Saturn’s effect should most likely be used as that
finishing blow when your opponent’s life points are
low.
Even without the effect, The Agent of Judgment –
Saturn is a welcome addition to any Angel theme
deck. Saturn deserves a well-rounded 3/5, his effect
has some downsides, but overall a very effective
monster when used alongside healing cards. |

Okay. I'm going to just say this right now clearly.
Saturn Rules.
Mystic Wok, Emergency Provisions, and a slew of
other life gain cards make this angel incredibly
useful...IF you theme a deck around him. Outside of
the theme, he only has 0 defense, which is a pretty
nasty weakness if you're facing something like
Tsukuyomi...but let's face it. Not many people in
tournaments run anything outside of a Chaos Emperor
Dragon or a Berserk Gorilla. 2400 ATK for an angel
is nothing to scoff at.
The effect, however, can be more damaging than even
entering battle. With Mystic Wok, you'll be able to
gain great amounts of life through a measly
sacrifice. Remember that the wok's a quickplay, so
you can respond to your monsters being destroyed.
Emergency Provisions can give you up to 4000 life in
one blast! Even Goblin Thief works for Saturn. The
agent of judgment is just a great angel to run.
Constructed: 4/5
Limited: 3/5
You probably won't be using Saturn's effect in
limited, but 2400 ATK isn't something you want to
turn down quickly. in AST, there's not many level
5-6 monsters in all those cards. |

The Agent of Judgment - Saturn
Ah, a mediocre card. This set was a big
disappointment to me when it came
out in Japanese. It just... uh... yeah... didn't
surprise me. Well lets get
to the card now.
Saturn's stats aren't so bad. He's a Light/Fairy, 6
star, 2400 atk, and 0
defense monster. His effect is actually decent
compared to the rest of the
set. It states that, "If your Life Points are higher
than your opponent's
Life Points, activate this card's effect by offering
this card as a Tribute
from your side of the field. Inflict damage to your
opponent's Life Points
equal to the difference between your and your
opponent's Life Points. If
"The Sanctuary in the Sky" is not on your side of
the field, this effect is
not applied. When you activate this effect, you
cannot conduct your Battle
Phase."
Not bad, but not great. If your beastin' on your
opponent and you have like
4500, and your opponent has 1300, ok this is a great
time to use Saturn.
The problem with Saturn is that you need a dang
field card to be on your
side of the field for his effect to work. Ew.
