Elemental Mistress Doriado
This card has caused a little bit of confusion; some
people think it’s great and others think it’s
worthless. This is a good monster, to be sure –
she’s a Ritual but only has three stars, making it
very easy to sacrifice for her. She’s LIGHT, but
she’s also FIRE, and WATER, and EARTH. And WIND.
Yes, she’s a bunch of Attributes, meaning that if
she’s the only monster on your side of the field,
you can activate Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan and choose your
effect. You can discard her for Abyss Soldier
because she’s also WATER. You can use her as a LIGHT
when removing for BLS-EotB. You can use her as an
EARTH when removing for Gigantes, or a WIND for
Silpheed, or a FIRE for Ultimate Baseball Kid’s
effect.
She’s versatile. One thing to note, however, is that
you CAN’T activate Elemental Burst if this is the
only monster on your side of the field. It’s a
drawback but this monster still has many uses. She’s
very rentsy indeed.

Elemental Mistress Doriado
Usually you don't see Ritual monsters as combo
cards. This is a rare exception.
You're OBVIOUSLY not summoning this for its ATK
score...you're still giving up 3 cards (Ritual +
Monster + sacrifice monster) to get out something
that still needs another card. However, it sets you
up for a deck using Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan -- that Trap card
that either lets you Pot, Delinquent, Raigeki, or
HFD (your choice) if you have all 4 elements on the
field.
I'm not even sure if this works with Elemental
Burst. If it does, then you have a HFD + Raigeki in
the same card. But still...that requires 6 traps
that aren't even staple trap cards, so instantly
Decree > this whole deck idea.
1/5 Traditional (Why play substitutes when you have
the real thing?)
1.75/5 Advanced (Too fragile of a combo)

LIGHT
This card can only be Ritual Summoned with the
Ritual Spell Card, "Doriado's Blessing". The

...
What the hell?
As I said in the last CotD, Rituals suck for the
most part and are not worth the time and resources
it takes to bring them out.
So...why would you want to spend resources on this
weak-ass monster? What, so you can finally use that
Elemental Burst? ...Yeah, no.
Rating: 1/5 (Pojo said the lowest number I can go is
1
*cries*)
I hope no one on Pojo cries about me not seeing
"broken" combos like Elemental Mistress Doriado
and...sweet Jesus, elemental monsters such as
Element Saurus and Element Soldier! Omg broke! Oh
wait...no they suck okay bye!

Coin Flip |
Elemental Mistress Doriado. Pronounced just like
Driad only with an o after both d's. But the name is
unimportant. The effect is interesting. This works
with a number of cards. In fact, the only card you
need to know it doesn't work with is Elemental
Burst. It doesn't work with Elemental Burst.
However, it works with Element Doom, Dinosaur,
Valkyrie, Dragon, Soldier and Magician. Having this
on the field with one of them gives that Element
Monster both of its abilities. Nifty, eh? It is the
only card you need to have on your field to be able
to activate Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan. You can summon it with
Earth Chant. That's another interesting thing – this
little girl counts as all 5 of those Attributes
(LIGHT, EARTH, FIRE, WIND, and WATER) while she's in
your hand or deck as well. Even in the Graveyard.
You can remove her to Special Summon Silpheed,
Gigantes, Inferno, or half of Fenrir, half of Soul
of Purity and Light, or half of a Chaos Monster.
Nifty.
This does not mean you can special summon it from
your deck with something stupid like UFO Turtle.
Attempt to and EMoD will call Cory's mom fat and rip
a n00b off for a Mirror Force with his shiny
Garnecia Elefantis. As opposed to a kitten dying.
Okay, he won't, and a kitten won't die as a result
of you doing that, but it's not going to go over too
well with your opponent.
This card sucks anywhere but an Element Deck. There,
it does to the Element Deck what Necrovalley does to
Gravekeepers. No rating for that very reason.

Snapper |
Elemental Mistress Doriado
Today’s card is Elemental Mistress Doriado, the
heart and soul of an Element Deck.
Doriado’s stats are far from extraordinary, so I’ll
just briefly mention them and move onto the effect,
which is the only reason you’d ever use her.
So, 1200 ATK, Spellcaster, done.
Like all Ritual Monsters, Doriado can only be
Special Summoned through a Ritual Spell Card. And
since you all can read, I won’t point out which one
to use. If you can’t read though and you’re curious
about which one to use, it isn’t not Doriado’s
Blessing.
Doriado’s effect is a rare one in that it’s and
effect that is always active. It’s active on the
field, it’s active while in the Deck, it’s active
while in the Graveyard and in the hand, it’s active
while removed from play; we shall never surrender.
What’s her effect you ask? Why’s Snapper using such
random sayings this week you wonder? Her effect
allows Doriado to be a FIRE, EARTH, WIND, and WATER
monster all at that same time in addition to her
standard LIGHT Attribute. As for your second
question, I haven’t the foggiest.
So anyway, Doriado’s a kick butt monster in many
different fashions. As has already been stated, she
excels in an Element Deck, allowing you to use both
effects of, let’s say, Element Dragon at the same
time. Whilst in this Element Deck, Doriado can
single-handedly be used to activate Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan,
a Trap that allows you to use one of four very
useful effects. Outside of an Element Deck, Doriado
can be used as a basic Deck filler without the need
for her Ritual Spell Card. Since she doesn’t need to
be on the field to use her effect, you can use her
for Attribute specific effects. In a WATER Deck for
example, she can be used to summon Aqua Spirit or be
used to pay for Abyss Soldier’s effect. Neat huh?
All in all, Doriado is a very neat monster that
should be a staple for an Element Deck. Using it
elsewhere may prove effective, though I’m sure you
could find something more useful there.
Advanced (Element Deck): 4/5. It really only loses
points for a low ATK and being a Ritual Monster.
Other than that, Doriado kicks bootay.
Traditional (Element Deck): 4/5. See Advanced.
Overall (Element Deck): 4/5.
Art: 4/5. FINALLY! The artwork has come back to a
version I enjoy.

Elemntal Mistress Doriado
Spellcaster/Ritual/Effect
1200-1400
Light...Wind...Water...Fire...Earth
TWO Ritual monsters in a row
This is one of the most unique cards to come along
possibly ever, yet it is so stupid also. Long story
short, here's about ALL I have to say:
Light = chaos food
Her stats = meh at best
Ritual in this case = sucks
Sadly, this is another one of those cards I wanted
to slap 1/5 on and move along, but curses...I have
actually found one use again, and it has to be the
ONLY reason this ridiculous card was made.
In a deck with 3 of these and 3 Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan, this
absolutely ridiculous card becomes a necessity as
your 1 monster can count as all the necessary
Attributes.
Ratings:
Traditional: 1.0/5 I had to, I'm sorry.
Traditional Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan: 4.0/5 Seriously, it can
do it so ridiculously easy.
Advanced: 1.5/5 Still, it's not great.
Advanced Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan: 4.5/5
Art: 2.5/5 Still, not that great.
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
