Brain Jacker
So, SO close to being good...
Snatch Steal has ended more games than I can count,
and Snatch Steal on an opponent's BLS has probably
done more to anger YGO players than many other
problems with the game. So what's so bad about
Snatch Steal in monster form?
The way it's ruled, this thing MUST survive the
attack in order to get the monster. If he's
destroyed, then you're not gonna get to keep their
monster. So you have to use another card to protect
it (and 2 for 1s are never good when you're putting
out the 2). If you set this on the first turn, and
the opponent sets a monster, you STILL have nothing
to steal.
If it could take face-downs, it'd be great. If it
still got its effect after being destroyed in
battle, then it'd be even better (and players would
have even more reasons to run 2 Nobleman of Crossout.)
But sadly, it's just not that good.

Brain Jacker, the card that Rafflesia Seduction and
Jowls of Dark Demise only wish they were. Well,
sorta. The good side to Brain Jacker is that it
works perfectly for long periods of time. The bad
side is that it requires a face up monster. LP gain
is nothing. This card also needs to remain on the
field, but then again, the alternative is not
keeping the monster. This monster's effect does not
work if it dies before its effect goes off (i.e., by
battle or Acid Trap Hole). That last one just sort
of hurts this.
Here's the good news – Waboku works great with this
card. Here's the bad news – almost nothing else
does. While you could use Vengeful Bog Spirit… Well,
you could use Vengeful Bog Spirit. Maybe Stumbling.
Maybe Big-Tusked Mammoth.
It takes control of a monster and keeps it that way.
A lot like Snatch Steal, though I'm trying to avoid
the obvious. It's also DARK and a Fiend! Joy for
various decktypes. The stats suck, though, giving it
little to do outside of the effect.
Traditional: 1.9/5 (Flip effects are slow, and this
one can't even be triggered by battle… =\)
Advanced: 2.7/5

Brain Jacker
No, this card isn’t as good as some people think it
is. In addition to having lackluster stats, it has a
Flip Effect that essentially won’t work if your
opponent attacks the monster. That’s right, for
Brain Jacker’s effect to work, he must be flipped in
a way that won’t kill him; and with only 900 DEF, an
opponent’s attack is pretty likely to slaughter your
poor Brain Jacker.
Of course, if you do manage to Flip Summon him on
your turn (not too hard to do, either. Something
like Threatening Roar works nicely for this
purpose), his effect is very nice. You essentially
get a Snatch Steal that your opponent only gains 500
LP per Standby Phase for, instead of 1000.
Where does this card work well? Burn. Decks
revolving around cards like Cannon Soldier can make
great use of Brain Jacker, as in addition to already
having quite a bit of stall (probably), they also
have a surefire way to get rid of that monster
before the opponent gains too many LP.
Outside of a Cannon Soldier-heavy Burner (or another
deck that can find a real use, of course), however,
I’d advise against using Brain Jacker.

Brain Jacker
Today’s card is Brain Jacker, the monster version of
Snatch Steal.
Brain Jacker has anything but good stats; 200 ATK
does nothing and 900 DEF can only protect it from
the weakest monsters you can think of. It is however
a Fiend, giving it a few perks. Yet due to its low
ATK, it will rarely be taking advantage of these
perks.
When Brain Jacker is flipped it becomes an Equip
Card and Equips to an opponent’s monster. While
Brain Jacker is equipped to a monster, you gain
control of the monster and your opponent gains 500
Life Points every turn.
Now as should be apparent, this is a cheaper version
of Snatch Steal, and for all intents and purposes it
is. The only problem with this effect is that if
Brain Jacker were to be flipped face-up as a result
of battle and subsequently die, you won’t get its
effect.
This herein lies the problem; due to its unblessed
DEF, Brain Jacker will die in battle 99% of the time
if it doesn’t have some kind of protection. So if
you plan on using Brain Jacker, it would be wise to
have some stalling cards handy such as Waboku,
Swords of Revealing Light, or just have a Book of
Taiyou available and ready to be used right after
you Set Brain Jacker.
Despite this shortcoming, Brain Jacker could prove
very useful if the right cards are in the right
place at the right time. And I’m sure and Fiend Deck
that wants to be different could find a way to make
Brain Jacker successful.
Advanced: 3/5. I’d probably stick with a Spell card
with a similar effect (Creature Swap, Snatch Steal,
Enemy Controller, etc.).
Traditional: 2.5/5. If you’re going to use it
remember to use protection!
Overall: 2.75/5.
Art: 2/5. I don’t know why it’d need to jack brains
as it appears to be its own. We call that being
greedy I suppose.

Brain Jacker
Well, simply put, this card is Snatch Steal, but
better in my opinion. It only gives your opponent
500 lifepoints a turn instead of 1000. The only real
downside I see in this card is that it becomes an
equip card, but no biggie really.
This card is also DARK which makes it Chaos food and
being a FIEND it becomes food for Dark Necrofear.
For those of you who don't have Snatch Steal, run a
Fiend deck, or would like an extra Snatch Steal,
then by all means, pick up one of these.
Sorry for the short review today, but I said all I
needed to.
