Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World

Okay, if Sillva is good, then this guy's going to be near-staple in a month or two.

Goldd and Sillva have the same stats, but instead of -2 from the opponent's hand, this time it's -2 from their field -- you get two free kills on ANY cards on their field. It's like Mobius on crack.

As Sillva is best in the early game, Goldd does his best in the mid and late game, when the cards are mostly on the field and the opponent is trying to discard your last card to send you to topdecking. Right now, hand control is all the rage. Spirit Reapers, Don Zaloogs, and the occasional Confiscation all make cards in hand a scarce commodity right now. This thing, along with Sillva, will counter that for a while. People will main a whole bunch of Dark Realm stuff for a month, and then the better of it will be relegated to the side deck and we'll go back to cookie-cutters for the most part, pulling these out when the opponent is trying to pick off in-hand cards often.

I can hear the debate now..."Who's better, Goldd or Sillva?" Goldd. Sillva has a chance of being triggered by an opponent's effect without actually discarding anything (a handless opponent topdecks Don, your Bottomless is useless, and they hit your Sillva, Special Summoning it but not having to lose any hand.) There are very few situations where your opponent can get away from Goldd's second effect unscathed. If they have a monster on the field who made you discard him, AT THE VERY LEAST, that monster is gone. The only situation I can think of where he wouldn't destroy anything is if your opponent was PURELY topdecking, played Confiscation to get rid of your last card, which was Goldd...and if that's the case, you have a defenseless opponent and a 2300 ATK beatstick ready to take them down.

Start ripping newbs for these now; you'll need them in a month.

Pretty much, my thoughts on today's card are the same as they were on yesterday's card. Except today's card has some sort of built-in longevity. It will take out a Sakuretsu Armor, even if it's the only card on the field.

It's solid in Dark World and solid in General (the difference is actually only 2-5 cards, most of the time).

Having said most of what I wanted to say yesterday…

Dark World: 4.6/5
General: 3.4/5

Dark Paladin
Ok, today's card is a superior version of yesterdays card, if only because of the potential it could have, vs. the potential of yesterdays card.

The only thing that changes from yesterday to today is that if this card is sent to the graveyard by your opponent, you have the option of destroying two cards on their field, which is considerably better than your opponent losing two cards. If you need any more info, just read my review from yesterday, and switch the names essentially.

Ratings:

Control: 4.25/5

Art: 4.5/5

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
