As long as this "Castle of Dark Illusions" remains face-up on the field, the ATK and DEF of this card continues to increase by 100 points during each of your Standby Phases. This effect continues until your 4th turn after the card is activated.

Lord Tranorix	Pumpking the King of Ghosts I’d wish you all a Happy Halloween, but…that just seems too stupid. Today we’re reviewing Pumpking, the King of Ghosts. Now, I’ll get to the review in a minute, but really…why is a pumpkin the king of ghosts? Does this not sit well with anyone else? Am I the only one who sees something a little discordant here? Konami, pumpkin is a variety of squash, nothing more – and you’re expecting me to believe that SPIRITS OF THE DEAD are going obey one? Well, here’s one customer you haven’t convinced. Anyway, Pumpking isn’t great. It has 1800 ATK, which is bad for a level 6 monster; but it also happens to be a Zombie (a ZOMBIE PUMPKIN? Well, this card makes more and more sense every minute, now doesn’t it?) and thus fetchable via Pyramid Turtle. As long as Castle of Dark Illusions is on the field, Pumpking will gain a little bit of ATK for a little while. So, the Zombie Pumpkin Ghost King gets powered up by a misleading castle. Even if you get the maximum boost from this effect, it’s not worth it. Stick with Vampire Lord or Ryu Kokki for your Pyramid Turtle beatsticks. Run this in a fun Zombie Deck, but stay away competitively. Control: 1.5/5 Zombie Deck: 2.5/5 OVERALL RATING: 2/5
ExMinion OfDarkness	Pumpking the King of Ghosts This one's gonna be short and sweet, as it's one of those token reviews we do for holidays. "IT STINKS!" </The Critic> What they really should have done with this card was give it an extra 2,000 ATK points on Halloween and ONLY Halloween -- and obviously make it illegal for Premiere tournament play. You know, like Birthday Pikachu. 1/5 all, as to be expected, I don't really buy into the "make people feel good about a subpar card" thing.
Coin Flip	Pumpking, King of Ghosts was a joke review to get in the spirit of Halloween. Basically, this was a combo card from back in the day that is only slightly less than terrible today. Since it can be Special Summoned, there is some merit to using it, but not enough to actually, y'know, use it. Don't play this card. A potential 3000 ATK is really quickly destroyed with a Book of Moon. Although if you did want to, you could use Tsukuyomi to flip Castle of Dark Illusions face down and continually increase his ATK. Wait, no, that's a terrible idea. General: 1.1/5 Pumpking deck: 5/5 (for theme alone)
Dark Paladin	Happy Halloween all and today we review a very Halloween appropriate card--Pumpking-the King of Ghosts. So, let's take a look at our Halloween terror. 1800 attack and 2000 defense aren't going to win anything, and if that wasn't enough to bring this card down, it doesn't function to it's "potential" without Castle of Dark Illusion, and that isn't worth it--AT ALL! IF all this weren't enough, Pumpking is also cursed by being a tribute monster, and please, there is little to no reason ever to run this card, unless you're running a Halloween or Holiday themed deck I guess. Ratings: 1/5 all around 5/5 Halloween/Holiday themed decks though, I guess Art: 3.5/5 Interesting enough You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
