Level Limit - Area B
Ahh, yet another blow to the standard Burn (that
somehow still seems to eek out Top 8s here and
there.)
Level Limit is one of the best stall cards we have.
It hoses Jinzo, it makes opponent waste M/T removal,
and push comes to shove, you can Magic Reflector it
(but that's a bit situational).
But the restriction to 1 just means if you were
running 2 Messenger of Peace, that you're running 3
now. The problem with that is so many elemental
searchers can still attack, and the opponetn may
still be able to hack through the weak monsters Burn
ends up playing.
It was a good restriction though; YGO was meant to
be a more aggressive game in my opinion, and taking
one more automatic stall card out of Burn's lineup
puts us closer to that (and hopefully discourages
some people who were thinking about running Burn
from doing so.)

Advanced: 3/5

Closing the week we'll look at a card that was
recently Restricted, Level Limit-Area B.
Level Limit-Area B being Restricted, in my own
humble opinion, was not necessary at all. Granted,
it is powerful, but like most powerful cards, it has
its weaknesses. It's a Continuous Magic card meaning
it's vulnerable to MST, Heavy Storm, and even
Breaker.
Have Stall Decks become so powerful and Continuous
Magic cards so hard to destroy we needed to Restrict
this? I don't think so. However, Level Limit-Area B
is still a good card, though it only really belongs
in a few decks. The biggest pro for this is that it
switches all monsters of Level 4 or above into
defense mode, probably making them easier to
destroy, but...
It effects your own monsters as well. However, the
smart duelists only use this in decks where it
belongs without or with very few high level
monsters.
The best place outside of a stall or offensive burn
deck is a Fire Princess deck. Being able to
continuously burn your opponent via Princess and
other cards and not being able to have your opponent
attack is brilliant.
Ratings:
Traditional: 3.5/5
Traditional Stall/Offensive Burn/Fire Princess:
4.25/5
Advanced: 4/5
Advanced Stall/Offensive Burn/Fire Princess: 4.75/5
Art: 3.5/5 Not the best this week, but still neat.
You stay classy, PLanet Earth :)

Level Limit Area-B
(By the way my Luster Dragon review was sent in
late, you don’t want to miss it)
It’s restricted now. I don’t really care it was
never much of a problem here. For the OCG they
killed VDragon so that’s all they really needed to
do. This just hurts burn/sand control decks. I still
prefer Stumbling over LLAB anyways, and Stumbling
isn’t restricted.
I’m sure MikeJ and Kahla remember me using Stumbling
:P
It’s still a strong card.
Traditional: 2.5/5 (no time for stalling)
Advanced: 4.0/5

Level Limit - Area B:
Having finished dealing with OTKs, Konami turned its
deck-killing ban-gun towards burn, the heartless
b******s.
This is possibly the single most powerful (but
balanced) stall card in existence. Games grind to a
halt until s/t destruction can be found. Though not
completely dead, the reduction to one takes away
another crutial card from stall strategies. These
were already weak enough, with the rampant use of
Mobius, and with this loss they will probably not
survive this format.
A shame in my opinion.

Stall Deck in Any Format: 5/5

Level limit Area B
Did this merit restriction? I think not, I had Hamon
deck lined up and everything.
Level limit area B is essentially one of the best
stall cards available to us right now, along with
Messenger of piece and Gravity bind. It’s presence
has forced many decks into retreat and extended the
turn count of games exponentially.
The deck to receive the greatest benefit from this
was burn. With this on, you could just sit back and
stall to your hearts content.
Overall, Level limit Area B is a good card to stall
with, but with that said, its not for every deck.
Traditional : 4/4 (stall)
Advanced 4/5 (stall)
Art ; 4/5
Mps : 4.5/5
