Now
we come to Blowback Dragon, a very fun card, and
what many claim as the superior cousin of Barrel
Dragon.
There is obviously no reason not use this in a
Machine deck. 2300 for one tribute is good, not
great, but good. The effect is superior to Barrel
Dragon because it can hit Magic and Trap cards too.
He's also Dark, so he can feed Chaos Sorcerer, if
necessary, hell it isn't bad for Dragon decks, if
only because Dragon is in his name. It combos with
Limiter Removal, being a Machine making him have
4600 attack...good right?
Try him, you might be surprised.
Ratings:
3/5 normal deck
4/5 Machine deck
Art: 4/5
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Blowback Dragon
The gambler's choice in Chaos-ready Fusion monster.
I would never play Blockback Dragon because I don't
believe in giving the game any more layers of
chance.
However, he is undeniably a good card, giving 0.5
cards of advantage per turn, on average. Not much
else can destroy any card on the field. It's just
the element of chance that holds this guy back.
Traditional: 3.5/5
Advanced: 4/5
Share and enjoy,

Blowback Dragon
Now this is a charming little monster, and a figure
head in a great deck I’ve got in the works.
Barrel Dragon was always popular, and this is his
modern day replacement, with lower stats, a suped up
ability, and a great picture. What’s not to love?
(besides the slightly lowered stats…)
The main thing that people don’t like about Blowback
dragon is that his effect is somewhat 50/50, it
relies on coin flips , so there’s no guarantee that
it’ll go off. Still, when it does it’s more than
worthwhile, since he can ail either an opposing
monster, or s/t. Whatever you’d like. Considering
he’s dark, with a respectable 2300 attack for a
level 6, it a surprise that he doesn’t see as much
play . Still, consistency is always something the CC
deck strives for, so Zaborg can be his bttwer for
now.
Traditional : 3/5 Not bad, not bad at all.
Advanced ; 3.5/5 Very good when used well
Art : 4/5 A handgun with legs, whats not to love?
MPS ; 4/5 Gorgeous.

Blowback Dragon
WoW another good playable 1 tribute for both Machine
decks or Strike Ninja, Now what makes it great is if
you bring him out while your opponent controls a
face up Spirit Reaper you most designate your target
with Blowback Dragon before you flip the coin but
since you target Spirit Reaper it dies without a
single coin being used pretty neat. Other then being
a Reaper killer Blowback can target any card your
opponent controls unlike its older counterpart
Barrel Dragon which can only target monsters. Also
having 1200 DEF is very good since unlike Mobius a
well timed Tsukuyomi can't kill Blowback Dragon plus
2300 ATK or 4600 if you used Limiter Removal ~.^ you
can ram Blowback in Chaos Sorcerer if either the
coin flip fail or you destroyed something else with
it, If run Machines I highly suggest you run this or
since its a Dark tech it in a Chaos deck
Traditional Format > 2/5:
Advance Format > 3/5: Really good in a Strike Ninja
or Machine deck
Artwork > 2/5: Hmmm I like Gatling Dragon better....

Ahh,
so Today we look at Blowback Dragon, one of my
favorite cards, great
potential in this card, I see. In my area alot of
people use to play this
card, and still do. Why? Can Destroy Spells/Traps
and monsters if coin is
called right. I wanna make a Blowback/DDV deck, just
need more Blowback
Dragons. Surprisingly, this card was in the Canadian
Nationals Winner deck,
as tech. And it probably helped him alot, especially
with Limiter mained as
well.
Anyways the text on this card is as follows:
Blowback Dragon
Dark/Machine
Attack: 2300 Defense: 1200
Effect:
Toss a coin 3 times. If at least 2 of the results
are heads, select 1 card
on your opponents side of the field and destroy it.
This effect can only be
used once per turen during the main phase.
Alrighty, pretty straight foward, Toss a coin, get 2
heads, blow something
up. Im actually surprised I dont see more of these
mained in decks, or a
deck mained with this Top8 a Shonen Jump or
something. It has great
potential with DDV. Destroy a Monster/ Spell/Trap,
and activate Deck
Devastion Virus and possibly take monsters. My
friend and me went down to a
tourney, I built him a Blowback/DDV deck, and he
beat me in finals with it,
so I know it works well. Eitherway, I dont lose
sleep over it, lol. Pro's
and Con's time, boys and girls.
Pro's:
- 2300 Attackl is quite good.
- Potential of destroying Monster/ Spell /Trap.
- Chaos Food.
- Works good with Return.
- Works very well with DDV.
- Machine, can be Limitered.
- 1200 Defense, Tsukuyomi cant kill it.
- Morpable to Ryu Senshi.
- Can also counter Decree.
Probably more, these are most notable.
Cons:
- 2300 cant stand up to Jinzo, Zaborg, Mobius, etc.
- If 2 heads arent seen, nothing happens.
- Can only be performed in Main phase?
Pro's outweigh cons, which means, its a good card.
Probably better choices
out there, but try it out you might actually like
it. Might fit your play
style.
Ratings:
Traditional: 1/5 - Better Choices.
Advanced: 3/5 - Good card, can be very good.

Blowback Dragon
is a great Monster that I think even I don’t
think is broken.
…
That was supposed to be a joke but with as
screwy as this game can be I really would need
to test with what I think the Banned cards
should be…
Seriously though, being a 2300 ATK Level 6
Monster means that even with its killer effect,
it’s not going to survive battle with anything
serious, and this tends to keep it balanced
out. The killer effect is simple: select an
opponent’s card, flip three coins, and if at
least two are heads destroy the selected card.
This gives Blowback Dragon a 50% chance
of offsetting its Tribute cost. It is a Dark
Attribute Monster, so it is Chaos
compliant, but Dark Monsters are the easier of
the two needed Attributes to run so it’s far
from a serious incentive. It does matter much
more in Strike Ninja decks, where not
only do you need Dark Monsters to remove to pay
for Strike Ninja’s effect, but due to the
combo with D.D. Scout Plane you should
have an ample supply of Tribute fodder.
As a Machine, Blowback Dragon really
strengthens Machine and Dark/Machine decks,
which is nice since it’s not quite as CC that
way. Perhaps the best part is that Blowback
Dragon has a very serviceable Fusion,
Gatling Dragon. Although no stronger than
Barrel Dragon (the other Fusion
component) in stats, it has a wonderful chance
at nuking up to three Monsters in play.
Barrel Dragon’s good standing aside from
being a Fusion piece an actual decent Fusion
makes it an excellent Fusion piece.
Its amazing how much there is and isn’t to say
about this card: its not the star of its own
deck but not only is it a solid pick for
Chaos if you actually need another Dark
Monster and Tribute Monster at the same time,
but it’s great for the slightly less seen
Strike Ninja and Machine Chaos decks
and even for something as uncommon as a
worthwhile Fusion deck.
Ratings
Traditional:
2/5 – Just not quite good enough to bother with
here, since while it has a 50% chance of nuking
something, it’s almost certain to die in a
single turn.
Advanced:
4/5 – It appears to be a wonderfully balanced,
effective card. The lack of play it sees in
most metagames is due only to the cards that are
even more powerful that we can’t seem to get rid
of.
