D-Hero -- Captain Tenacious
This guy is the big-time support that the D-Hero
cards need to even have a ghost of a chance of being
played.
He's not that strong on his own, but he's free
revival for fallen D-Heroes. Combining this card
with D-Shield puts your opponent in a Spirit Reaper-esque
lock; if they don't waste a card effect to get rid
of this, anything else they kill will just come back
more often than not. It's not a hard lock to break,
but it's something.
Also, since the effect doesn't activate when the
monster's destroyed, but in the Standby Phase, you
can have some big D-Hero Beatstick of yours get
killed in battle, then Call of the Haunted this
before your Standby Phase and revive your other
D-Hero.
...unless your opponent used Zaborg/Smashing/Torrential/Sorcerer/any
of the other large quantities of options they have
to get rid of your stronger D-Heroes without
battling...
2/5 even in a D-Hero deck

Destiny Hero-Captain Tenacious...wow...Tenacious is
a truely excellent word, one that will definately
get you triple word score in Scrabble.
This card goes into the category of good effect, yet
not solid. What do I mean? Well, the effect IS good.
If your opponent destroys a D-Hero (excluding this
monster) it is returned to the field during your
next Standby Phase.
However, our Tenacious friend has only 800 attack
and 800 defense points so what's to stop your
opponent from destroying him and not even letting
you get the effect? For this card to be playable,
say 1800 attack and 1800 defense would have
rocked...it would have been Tenacious.
Ratings:
Tenacious/5 and by Tenacious I mean 2/5 even where
it belongs
Art: 4/5 D-Heroes seem to have cooler art than
E-Heroes
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Destiny Hero - Captain Tenacious:
Lovely idea in a body you just can't be interested
in.
Now, having one monster per turn come back from the
dead is great. Restricting it to D-Heroes is not.
Requiring an 800/800 to be face-up through a battle
phase all the way to the Standby Phase is worse.
This requires massive protection to work, and that
sort of protection probably would have saved the
original monster.

Advanced: 2/5

DESTINY HERO - CAPTAIN TENACIOUS
one of the better D-Hero's but still not worth deck
space. If you are running the new Dogma Deck, then
he is almost a staple b/c of his "replacement"
ability and Dogma's need to tribute a D-Hero.
But as for the card in general, with his godly stats
(sarcasm people) and lackluster effect I see no
purpose in running him. Mystic Tomato is the King
right now and simply being a tutor for almost any
dark monster in your deck, is a tad better than
saving a D-Hero who most likely is going to give
your opponent a huge smile upon realizing you play
them and an even bigger one due to the fact they
just ran one over and now your trying to save a
monster who couldn't stand its own ground in battle
to Begin with.
Even Dogma requires another turn to use his amazing
effect.
D-Hero's are a mistake. E-Hero's are kinda cool. But
come on, Dinosaur, machine, and roid support. Get to
me faster.
Have you guy's checked out the Dino and Machine deck
spoilers?
The gadgets are coming out in a structure deck along
with a 3000 machine dragon version of ancient gear
golem (3000/2000) with no draw backs to special
summoning.
And the Dino deck has a 3,300 light T-Rex which
basically makes BEWD quake in his scales whom is
also capable of being summoned without any drawback.
How I long for these cards to be released.
Good, sweet looking, and powerful monsters.
(If you are not yet aware I dislike little monsters
who don't give you a reason to run them.)
Spirit Reaper is good, D-Hero horrible.
In all of this rambling, kinda symbolizing the
endless pain that sears through my body upon seeing
HERO cards, I give this card a....

Destiny Hero Captain Tenacious
Giving a little protection to the line of D hero
cards, and also sharing a name with one of the
greatest rock bands of all time, Captain tenacious
comes straight out of the EOJ D hero line .
Awful stats are an attribute shared by most D
heroes, but this one’s here to try to protect your D
hero investment, acting as a revival for them if
they are destroyed with him face up this turn,
unfortunately this effect can only be activated this
turn and you can only save one thing. I don’t lie
this card really, its not good to have face up, even
with D hero support, as chances are it’ll be in atk
, and they’re going to be aiming for him over Dread
master ( yeah right) anyway. I don’t like it, but if
you can find a use, do all by all means.

Destiny Hero - Captain Tenacious
Basic Summary:
Ahhhh horrid name for a card who names these in the
english versions I'm sure many will agree the
japanese name was far superior. Now for being 800
ATK/DEF I'm pretty sure your opponent isn't going to
choose something stronger on the field to attack if
this thing is face up soo right there that makes the
card really unreliable except if it was D-Hero Doom
Lord. Now the whole special summoning effect is cool
but most of the current D-Hero have horrid stats [
until PoTD, see Pojo Forums for details ] except
Diamond Dude which is decent enough but Captain
would be better if its stats were better in my
opinion.
Conclusion:
I apologize for the short review today I think until
PoTD or just use better D-Hero then this card if
you're running a D-Hero deck

Destiny Hero Captain Tenacious
Here is another Destiny Hero. Like, love, loathe, or
utterly despise, there are some who are bound and
determined to play obscure deck-types. D-Heroes and
E-Heroes have one major issue, their support. Their
Support is always too specific and regular support
(like Call, Premy, Sangan, and the like) could be
used so much more effectively in different decks.
That being said, I will review this for a D-Hero
deck because this is glowing, radioactive, dog poo
on a stick everywhere else.
And that brings us to Tenacious D here. 800/800
ain't hangin around on the field long. Its effect is
during your standby phase, you bring back a D-Hero
that has been killed by battle. Not bad recursion at
all, but keeping this guy on the field is a must, so
Heart of Clear Water may not be a bad addition to
this deck. It keeps him alive except for magic and
trap cards, but there, he is too low for most traps
to stop him from being summoned.
Also, Smashing Ground would probably hit something
else because he is so low on def.
Bottom Line: D-Hero Deck: 3.5/5 - If you have the
room, this guy is a welcome addition
Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 1/5
Art: 3/5 - wierd shieldy things attached to his arms
(can't really make out what is going on, but he
looks cool enough).
Until Next Time, Rock Your Socks Off!!

Today we continue on with EOJ cards and we finally
reach monsters with Destiny-Hero Captain Tenacious.
I kinda like the name of the card, I unno..lol.
Anywho, onto the review.
Text on this card reads.
Destiney Hero - Captain Tenacious
Dark/Warrior
Level 3
Attack: 800 Defense 800
Effect:
Once per turn, while this card is face-up on your
side of the field, if a monster on your side of the
field that includes "Destiny Hero" in its card
name(except this card) is destroyed as a result of
battle and sent to the graveyard, you can special
summon that one monster to your side of the field
during your next standby phase.
Hmm, this seems pretty good for Destiny Hero decks,
can go fetch a DreadMaster, a Diamond Dude, or
whatever guy you want as long as they're in the
graveyard, and as long as this card is on the field.
Although it has to be result of battle. This can
pretty useful, if I ran a Destiny Hero deck I'd use
like 3 of them. Monster recursion is always good,
with a deck that can still have like Premature and
Call in it.
In other decks though, this will do nothing, unless
you like putting random cards into your deck that
is.
Pro's:
+ Can bring back good Destiny Hero monsters like
Diamond Dude,
+ Dreadmaster,
Doom Lord.
+ Can set-up nicely for a tribute next turn.
+ Fetchable by Reinforcements of the Army.
+ If your running a Sorcerer, its Sorcerer bait.
+ Gets under G-Bind, Level Limit Area B.
Again, probably more, but these are most notable.
Con's:
- Comes to your field at next standby phase.
- Only 800 Attack and 800 Defense.
- Big monsters squish it to pieces.
- Destiny Hero decks arent good SJC wise imo.
Probably more, these come to mind first.
Use this in casual please, fun times.
Ratings:
Traditional: 1/5 (No, dont use)
Advanced: 2.5/5(Can be very fun to use).
