Tail Swipe

"Automatic -1" comes to mind.

You play this card, and bounce one big Dino back to your hand, and then bounce two smaller monsters or face-downs your opponent has on the field. No one actually lost any of their monsters, so you'd be down 1 card and they'd be down 0. Heck, even Penguin Soldier does a better job than this.

I understand that if you're swarming that this might be beneficial, but as I see it, it conflicts big-time with the Dinosaur deck and the staples it'd probably be including...Ultimate Tyranno WANTS monsters on the field as it gets to attack all of them. Most aggressive decks would STILL run 3 Cyber Dragons, and if you bounce all of your opponent's monsters, that becomes a dead card.

Between that and it being a disadvantage card, I wouldn't play it.

Tail Swipe is something we don’t see much of in this game: balanced Monster removal.  You have to have a Level 5 or higher Dinosaur to use it, but that just means it has to actually be played in a themed deck.  A real theme, since running that many high level Dinosaurs would clog a CC deck.  Now, if you have a Level 5 Dinosaur in play, you get to bounce two lower Level or Set Monsters from your opponent’s side of the field.  Presumably most players would do this after clearing out any potential problems from the opponent’s Spell/Trap Zones (far from a hard feat in this game).  Now your Level 5+ Dinosaur can go for a direct attack.  So, assuming you are running a deck that can get the behemoths into play at a reasonable pace, this is a pretty snazzy card.  Yes, destroying or removing a Monster from play would be a more effective and permanent means of dealing with it, but then the card probably wouldn’t be too balanced.  I mean, Dinosaurs have not only yesterday’s card, but a few others to make getting them into play pretty easy.  They also happen to have a nice “surprise I’m huge” Level 4 beatstick in Tyranno Infinity.  So all in all, you have a nice brute force tactic.  Dinosaur decks won’t want to run three of these, since they will only work some of the time, but since it’s a condition and not, say, coin or dice based, its still fairly dependable if you build your deck for it.  So I’d think most Dinosaur decks that embrace at least three Level 5 or higher Monsters would definitely want to run one or two of these.

[Spell Card]

This card gets a 1/5. In theory it is a plus one, but the fact you have to have a level 5 or higher dino means that it is a horrible top-deck when losing the game. The fact it throws an opponent back two turns does not help either. If it killed the two monsters great. But with Cyber Dragon working his way into everything, this spell provides a skilled player a free summon.

To hard to work with and not enough of an effect to justify using it.
