Cyber Gymnast
This card had some potential, but fell short of the
mark.
The effect is simple enough -- turn any card in your
hand into a Smashing Ground, essentially. Not a bad
effect at all, but as shown by recent decklists,
people want to be able to destroy a monster in any
position, and they want to do it without a discard,
involving a 2400 ATK Light Tribute monster.
In addition, people would rather not commit to a
monster that can be run over by a Sangan, when they
can just play Smashing Ground itself and pretty much
do the same thing and play a decent monster. It's
not like Smashing is limited or anything, so a deck
that NEEDS that much face-up monster removal can
have it in Spell form if it needs to.
Maybe if this came out immediately after Tribe was
banned it would see more play, but otherwise it's
too little, too late.

Dark Paladin |
Happy Fourth of July to everyone out there as today
is Independence Day! For the third year in a row I'm
doing NOTHING today as I have to close at my job,
but at least I'll still get to see some fireworks.
Today we are looking at Cyber Gymnast. Cyber Gymnast
is being hailed as an alternate to Tribe Infecting
Virus, which may be true, although the effect is
watered down a bit. Instead of giving up a discard
(with
Tribe) and declaring a monster type, you simply
destroy an Attack posistion monster.
Not so bad, but you are going to want to keep this
thing in defense mode, as Gymnast only has 800
attack. It could be used as tech to get you out of a
pinch, but probably works best in a burn or
offensive stall deck.
Ratings:
Traditional: 1.5/5 Why this over Tribe?
Traditional Stall/Offensive-Burn: 2.75/5
Advanced: 2.9/5
Advanced Stall/Offensive Burn: 3.85/5

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Cyber Gymnast:
This card made me give EOJ a proper look.
It is deffinetly tempting. A decent DEF, combined
with Warrior tutorability make up for the useless
ATK. The main advantage is, of course, the effect;
once per turn, turn one card in hand into a
targetted Smash. I like. Yes, due to the low low ATK,
you can't use this like Tribe and just slap it down
immediately. This requires more preparation.
However, it is deffinetly tempting. I'd say Toolbox
will love this card and a few other people might
give it a go, but I don't think it quite has what it
takes.

Cyber Gymnast :
Cyber Gymnast is a very , very good card. 1800
defense, Warrior and an d packing an effect making
it worthy of any warrior toolbox.
Mindless destruction is a personal favourite of
mine, especially in formats like this. This card
essentially makes any card in your hand a controlled
Smashing Ground. Personally, I love it.
1800 defense can more or less hold its own in
today’s format, and although it’s earth, that only
makes it a great reason to not make chaos decks.
