Icarus Attack
Wow...a fan request card that's actually GOOD!
(Congrats to whoever picked this, you officially
don't suck at this game.)
This falls into the category of "powerful support
for a type that desperately needs it".
It's a chainable, unrestricted 2 for 2. You
sacrifice a Winged-Beast and choose two cards to get
destroyed. The key to breaking this card is the same
key to breaking Deck Devastation Virus -- wait until
either the monster to be tributed or the card itself
is being threatened. (Examples: Heavy Storm or MST
that would hit Icarus Attack; Sakuretsu Armor/Mirror
Force that would jack up your Harpie Lady.) Then it
becomes a 3 for 2.
We NEED more cards like this in the game...stuff
that gives you a tangible benefit to running a
non-Light/Dark, non-Return-oriented, non-Stein
monster lineup. This isn't exactly "draw 1 card for
every Winged Beast on the field", but it's a damn
good step in the right direction.
If you run a Wind deck, you play this. In multiples.
5/5 in the right deck, 1/5 all else

Icarus Attack:
A nice, straightforward, chainable trap.
Enemy of Justice has mostly passed me by, but
everytime shows me one of the cards, I'm rather
impressed. Here's another one. Overall, it is at
least a 2-4-2, which is good for the aggro deck
Winged Beasts are most likely to appear in. However,
you can activate it when the Winged Beast in
question would be dying by, oh let's say, Mirror
Force. The monster would have died anyway, why not
capitalise on the situation?
Disadvantages are that the trap isn't truely
chainable as you have to have a Winged Beast to
tribute and if your opponent only has one card, you
must destroy one of your own. Overall, though, if
you have five or more winged beasts in a deck, one
of these might be a worth it.
Traditional: 2.5/5
Advanced: 2.5/5
Share and enjoy,

Icarus Attack
Welcome to our week of fun. Today’s card is a pretty
sweet little number from EOJ that will certainly
give the winged beast genre the support that they so
sorely deserve.
Icarus attack is certainly powerful. By tributing
one Winged beast type monster you can destroy 2
cards on the field. That’s an even trade off right
off the bat.
We’ve all seen this before with Deck devastation
virus. You’re up against a wall, your best monster
about to be blasted, and Zap, he’s gone , taking two
cards with him as well.
Icarus attack gives great support to a near death
deck type, and its refreshing to see. With it, as
well as the new structure deck that will soon be
upon us, who knows how far this deck could go?
Traditional (winged beast) 4/5
Advanced (winged beast) 4/5

Icarus Attack
Normal Trap
Text: By Tributing 1 Winged-Beast Type monster on
your side of the field, destroy 2 cards on the field
Before I start my review I most introduce myself
since I jumped into my reviews without doing it last
week, I'm MikeJ from the YGO Pojo Forum, the guy
that rants about certain stuff. Plus, I must also
apologize for my grammer in last weeks reviews,
which were really bad so I will get them spell
check/grammer from a good source ^.~
Finally Winged-Beast types (mainly Harpies) actually
get a good support card in EoJ. Basically its a 2:2
trade off, which could be a 2 : 3 if you wait until
your opponent uses Sakuretsu Armor on one of your
Winged-Beasts. The down side is that it must destroy
2 cards. Certain cards such as Mobius the Frost
Monarch, which can destroy "up to" two, are more
diverse so keep that in mind. Also, this card
benefits people who run Phoenix, but worry about
well timed Bottomless Trap Hole by their opponent.
Since Icarus saves the Pheonix by tributing itself
(too bad its not "destroy" like RoD, then that would
be amazing lol), it is best suited in such decks. If
you run a Harpy deck or a Wind/Winged-Beast deck
this should be a staple IMO. Other then that, Icarus
is a theme based card.
Traditional Format > 1/5: "You're running a winged
beast deck in traditional? what the..."
Advance Format/ Winged-Beast or Harpy Deck > 4.2/5
Artwork > 3/5: I loved the whole myth behind Icarus.
How he flew to close to the sun with his wings made
of feathers and wax. I kind of like the artwork

Iccarus Attack
A plus for any Harpie Deck and some Wind decks. The
ability to turn any Winged-Beast into the love child
of Mobius and Exiled Force is nothing to scoff at.
Its just that Winged-Beasts have very little base
support, until lately. This may see more play later
as the Wind Structure deck comes available.
Chainablility makes it useful Heavy Storm/MST/Mobius
bait, but at the cost of a Winged-Beast. Destroying
a monster is kind of a bad cost. There are plenty of
ways for your opponent to detroy your monsters, they
do not need your help dying.
Bottom Line: Harpie Deck
Traditional - 1/5 There are better cards here with
little to no cost Advanced - 3/5 Not a bad card if
comboed correctly, but a NASTY topdeck.
All other decks - nill/5 - um, no.
Until next time, stay out of the sun.

Icarus Attack
This card is pretty nice I guess, support for
Harpies or Winged Beast is neat.
Stealth Bird, all the Harpy Ladies, and Tomorrows
card are all Winged Beast monsters, so its decent
enough. The effect can be a 2-1 alot, or if your
opponent plays Smashing Ground or something on your
Winged Beast and you chain this, that ends up being
a 2-3 exchange, which is great. My team mate runs
Harpies casually for Local tournaments, its a very
fun decks.
Constructed: 3/5 in a deck supporting it, and if you
play it right.
Traditional: No rating.
