D Hero Dreadmaster
Ultra Rare
If this card was
Special Summoned by the effect of "Clock Tower
Prison", destroy all monsters on your side of the
field except the ones that include "Destiny Hero" in
their card names, then you can Special Summon up to
2 monsters from your Graveyard that include "Destiny
Hero" in their card names. During the turn this card
is Special Summoned, monsters on your side of the
field that include "Destiny Hero" in their card
names cannot be destroyed, and all Battle Damage
inflicted to the controller of this card becoms 0
during battle involving monsters on your side of the
field that include "Destiny Hero" in their card
names. The ATK and DEF of this card are equal to the
combined original ATK of all monsters on your side
of the field (except this card) that include
"Destiny Hero" in their card names.
Type - Warrior/Effect
Card Number - EOJ-EN004

D-Hero Dreadmaster
This is the D-Hero's big hitter, and it has three
effects we can look at.
The first requires it to have come out through Clock
Tower Prison, which is insanely difficult as it
requires CTP to stay out through four of your
opponent's turns in order to activate. If you manage
to pull that off, you nuke your non-D-Hero monsters
and Special Summon 2 D-Heroes from your Graveyard.
It's a wannabe Return swarm.
The second effect occurs either through CTP OR if
you Special Summoned it through Premature or Call;
you have a built-in Waboku for battles involving
your D-Heroes, and D-Heroes can't be destroyed that
turn (so no Saku/Mirror Force).
His ATK is only as good as the ATK of all the
D-Heroes you have out, so you have to go full-blown
D-Hero to actually get any use of it, lest you want
it to be stuck with an ATK that can be taken out by
a Cyber Dragon.
There are reasons to play Destiny Hero monsters --
this ain't one of 'em. Heck, you can probably trade
this for a complete copy of Vincent Tundo's
Nationals deck (the Blasting the Ruins/Life
Equalizer first turn kill.)

Today we're looking at another D-Hero, supposedly
the big daddy of them all, Destiny Hero Dreadmaster.
Is this guy all he's cracked up to be, we'll see.
Like with our other D-Hero card this week, below I
have posted the rulings on this card from UDE
website.
“Destiny Hero – Dreadmaster’s” second sentence is
applied if he is Special Summoned by any method, not
just by the effect of “Clock Tower Prison”.
(Insert: Second sentence is: Then you can Special
Summon up to 2 monsters from your Graveyard whose
name includes Destiny Hero)
“Destiny Hero – Dreadmaster’s” first effect (to
destroy your non-“Destiny Hero” monsters and Special
Summon 2 “Destiny Hero”
monsters) is a Trigger Effect and his other effects
are Continuous Effects.
Destroying all your non-“Destiny Hero” monsters and
Special Summoning 2 “Destiny Hero” monsters is
resolved in the same chain link. Even if you have no
monsters that will be destroyed you still get to
Special Summon
2 “Destiny Hero” monsters.
If “Royal Oppression” is face-up on the field you
can activate its effect to negate the Special Summon
of “Destiny Hero – Dreadmaster”
when he is Special Summoned by the effect of “Clock
Tower Prison”. If your “Royal Oppression” is
face-down when “Clock Tower Prison” is destroyed,
you can chain its activation (flipping it face-up)
to the effect of “Clock Tower Prison”. “Royal
Oppression” will resolve first, and be face-up when
“Destiny Hero – Dreadmaster” is Special Summoned,
and then you can activate its the effect of “Royal
Oppression” when “Destiny Hero – Dreadmaster” is
Special Summoned in order to negate the Special
Summon.
So, how do you determine Dreadmasters attack and
defense? When in battle, you combine the attack and
defense of all Destiny Hero monsters attack and
defense, so he has potential for some high numbers.
Ratings:
3.95/5 D-Hero He is a bit hard to play, and you need
Clock Tower Prison, but will be hard to get rid of
when you get him to the field.
Art: 4.5/5
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

DESTINY HERO - DREADMASTER
(ULTRA RARE) ATK - ? DEF - ? DARK 8* WARRIOR
(EFFECT) - IF THIS CARD WAS SPECIAL SUMMONED BY THE
EFFECT OF "CLOCK TOWER PRISON", DESTROY ALL MONSTERS
ON YOUR SIDE OF THE FIELD EXCEPT THE ONES THAT
INCLUDE "DESTINY HERO" IN THEIR CARD NAMES, THEN YOU
CAN SPECIAL SUMMON UP TO 2 MONSTERS FROM YOUR
GRAVEYARD THAT INCLUDE "DESTINY HERO"
IN THEIR CARD NAMES. DURING THE TURN THIS CARD IS
SPECIAL SUMMONED, MONSTERS ON YOUR SIDE OF THE FIELD
THAT INCLUDE "DESTINY HERO" IN THEIR CARD NAMES
CANNOT BE DESTROYED, AND ALL BATTLE DAMAGE INFLICTED
TO THE CONTROLLER OF THIS CARD BECOMES 0 DURING
BATTLE INVOLVING MONSTERS ON YOUR SIDE OF THE FIELD,
THAT INCLUDE "DESTINY HERO" IN THEIR CARD NAME.
THE ATK AND DEF OF THIS CARD ARE EQUAL TO THE
COMBINED ORIGINAL ATK OF ALL MONSTERS ON YOUR SIDE
OF THE FIELD (EXCEPT THIS CARD), THAT INCLUDE
"DESTINY HERO" IN THEIR CARD NAMES.
Well, this card is extremely situational. Basically
you’ll have to have a full field of D heroes to
utilize the full potential of this card. If drawn
early game, it’s pretty much a dead draw. If you
want him to hit the field for free, you have to use
clock tower prison, and even then, clock tower will
have to stay out for 4 turns, which can be a hard
thing to do. I don’t even really see a purpose in
running this card in a D hero deck, because after
all that time you’ve wasted getting this card out,
your opponent will have most likely come up with a
new strategy, and will most likely get rid of your
d.m. next turn. Highly situational, and not even
good for a D hero deck in my opinion….

D
Hero Dreadmaster
Ohh good god. Now there’s a long effect. A friend of
mine recently got one of these.
To be honest, I don’t like it. it’s a bit long
winded of a thing to do, I mean that Clock just
sucks, and I don’t like the summoning method, but I
do like the special summoning and effect otherwise.
I also like the immunity he grants himself, among
others. I’m sitting on the fence for this one, I
can’t really pretend to have my head completely
round this thing. I’ll just leave you guessing and
give him a rating based on his attack score. (why oh
why couldn’t I do that for Blue eyes white dragon?)
