A
Hero Emerges
This card has one very specific use, and could be
deadly in that circumstance, but that doesn't stop
it from being a hand-waster.
I'm referring to the Reasoning/Monster Gate deck. 3
Reasonings, 3 Monster Gates, and monsters of every
level EXCEPT 4 typically means you can get away with
running all of those high-level monsters you can't
normally. The deck does tend to deplete through its
hand fast, but with 2-tribute monsters with awesome
effects pounding on the opponent for turn after
turn, usually the opponent would have lost before it
becomes a worry.
If the deck doesn't get Reasoning or Gate quickly
enough, this is its backup plan -- a sneaky Call of
the Haunted-like thing that can throw out a big
monster that just can't find its way out of the
hand. This really only belongs in this kind of deck,
as A Hero Emerges is a -1 if it works and a -2 if it
doesn't, and the monster effect HAS to make up for
that loss in card advantage.
Other than that, it's just not worth it.
3/5 in its own deck, 1/5 all else

I
have not kept it brief. This card is horrible. It is
inherently a -1 and to get any "advantage" out of it
at all, you have to play bad draws. It is good in
budget Reasoning Gate decks and nowhere else. Have a
nice day.

Today we're looking at a signature Jaden trap card,
A Hero Emerges.
This card has potential, but is WAY too situational.
It's a trap, so Jinzo and Royal Decree negate it,
but don't let that alone deter you from playing a
trap.
When your opponent attacks, they select one random
card in your hand.
If it's a monster, you may Special Summon it to your
side of the field in face up attack OR defense
posistion. If it isn't a monster, the card goes
directly to the Graveyard.
The obvious way to do this is only have ONE card in
your hand and have it be some powerful monster like
Jinzo, Airknight, or Sacred Phoenix...Sadly, I like
Pineapple Blast better than this card.
Ratings:
1.5/5 It does something, as does Pineapple Blast,
just nothing good
Art: 3/5
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

A
hero emerges review
I remember when this card came out. It was amusing
in sealed play, and a novelty when playing for fun.
Other than that it sucks

A
Hero Emerges - Normal trap card
Effect - When your opponent declares an attack,
he/she randomly selects 1 card from your hand. If it
is a Monster Card, Special Summon it on your side of
the field. If not, send it to the Graveyard.
This card brings back old memories. I remember when
this card first came out, people were playing it to
help get their Dark magician of chaos, or basically
any tribute. This card, like most in the game, is
inconsistent, and situational, like I always say.
Pros: ~ If they hit the right one, depending on the
monster, it can sway the flow of the game, maybe in
your favor..
~ Its chainable to attacks
~ Another way to protect yourself from attack, maybe
from that spirit reaper?…
~ If nothing else, it’s a good bait card to draw
out your opponents heavy storm or mst
~ If the monster brought out survives, it makes good
tribute bait
Cons: ~ Only chainable to attacks
~ Card is randomly chosen, not picked
~ Its basically a -1
~ Not much worth using with this card besides Dark
magician of chaos
~ Doesn’t work with all monsters, such as chaos
sorcerer
Overall, this card isn’t really worth playing.
Maybe some people think differently because it can
help sway the level of field control you have, but
other than that, theres no real benefit you can get
out of this card, other than the DMOC example.
Trad: 1/5
Adv: 1.75/5
Fun factor: 4/5 (because you just never know what
they’ll pick…)

A
hero emerges:
I like this card, especially in casual. It can be
really fun , especially with a hand with Blue eyes
in. On the whole, not so bad.
A hero emerges can certainly be a risky move,
forcing the opponent to select a card from your hand
in order to either win the duel or lose , especially
in most cases. If they pick a S/t you’re screwed and
you lose it, if they pick a monster it’s a free
special summon, but if they pick the RIGHT monster
it can turn the whole duel in your favour. A great
card for reducing tribute costs.
Traditional ; 1/5 Not going to happen
Advanced : 2.5/5 Who knows?
Art ; 4/5 Hit ‘em Zombyra , hit ‘em again !!!
