Hidden Book of Spell

Trap
You can only activate this card during your turn. Select 2 Spell Cards from your Graveyard and add them to your deck. Your Deck is then shuffled.

Third Teacher/Student request. Third -1 in a row.

You could basically copy my review on Des Feral Imp, minus the parts about it being a Monster, and put it here. You're shuffling Spell cards into your deck when you have a much better card that can put them straight back into your hand (Magician of Faith). If I want a Spell from my Graveyard, I want it NOW, not possibly 10 turns from now. Quite a few duels don't even last 10 of each players' turns.

There are a few reasons I could see some players wanting to use this card -- it gets back Spell cards, and it helps prevent decking out. For preventing deckout, you have Pot of Avarice. For getting back Spells, you have Magician of Faith (and to a lesser extent, Dark Magician of Chaos.)

For the third time, 1/5 all.

Wednesday:

This card sucks.  My foot could write a better book than these hidden ones.  And why are they even hidden?

1/5 all.

If you didn't like this review, you shouldn't have read it.  Have a nice day!

Dark Paladin
Wednesday

Hidden Book of Spell is our card for today, and for today's review you should read my review for Des Feral Imp, as it's nearly identical.
Just replace all the info about it being a monster with this card being a Trap, and replace one card with two Magic cards. That's about it.
Late game, it MIGHT help, if you haven't found the cards, and your deck is small. At least with this, you get to take two magic cards, as opposed to one of your chocie.

Ratings:

2/5 all around

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)
Ryoga Hidden Book of Spell:
Again, an interesting but impractical card.

If your deck happens to be rather small, shoving the spells you need now back in the deck is useful.
However, due to MoF, you generally prefer really good Spells to be sitting in the Grave to reuse them, opposed to drawing them from the deck.

However, combo decks may find some solice in getting a second try at drawing their combo if the first attempt is scuppered. And if we ever get useable Spell tutorage, this will go far.

Traditional: 2/5
Advanced: 1.5/5

Ryoga
