Self-Destruct Button
Yay for the card that doesn't suck!
This baby is Last Turn's crutch. A Last Turn deck
running 3 of these has so many outs to avoid losing
it's ridiculous. ...but then again, it looks like
Last Turn's going to be banned for our April '06
list, barring an April Tewart's Day intervention.
Seriously, that's this thing's only use. I can't
think of any other reason to play this card.
1/5 Traditional
2.5/5 Advanced (for Last Turn)

Today I've decided to look at Last Will, a great
card for two decks, and sadly, only one of those
decks is playable in our format.
The first is of course being the Traditional Magical
Scientist OTK deck. You have to have most of your
lifepoints still (more than 7000) and fetch the
Scientist. (Of course, I'm assuming you have
Catapult Turtle out) Then, summon any ONE of the
2100 attack fusions, you know them. Continuously
lanuch them until your lifepoints are all but gone.
Then, launch the Scientish and finally Catapul
Turtle.
The other deck is Exodia. You can use it in Main
Phase two to summon Sangan or even an Exodia piece
to retrieve later. Adding speed to the Exodia
deck...beautiful. However, there really is no reason
to run this outside of either of the above mentioned
decks.
Finally, and not necessarily as playable, it can
search Y Dragon Head and Z Metal Tank, so it does
add a little speed to the XYZ/VWXYZ deck.
Just something to consider.
Ratings:
5/5 in either of the above mentioned decks
3.5/5 in XYZ/VWXYZ decks
1.5/5 elsewhere
Art: 1/5
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Self-Destruct Button:
Ah, something with a use, albiet not a very popular
one. This is used by Last Turn decks to reset the
game should they happen to find that you are about
to kill them and they haven't got the combo yet. No
other deck I can think of would be on 1000 LP
without having done damage to the opponent. As such,
only a Last Turn deck should consider using this,
and looking at Japan, they might not be long for
this world.
Traditional: 1/5
Advanced: 1/5
Last Turn: 4/5
Share and enjoy,

Self-Destruct Button
This card is...out of place in a week like this.
This is the only playable card out of the week.
Self destructs effect is...pretty bad and
conditional. But once again, OTK decktypes take
cards that are bad and conditional and makes them
staples for that decktype (See Dragged Down Into the
Grave, Reload, Magical Mallet, and Self Destruct
Button*.).
Its a simple concept, run this in last turn, if you
can't get the combo off, get the tie and retry the
match. Has synergy with Last Turn staples like Wall
of Revealing Light and Inspection.
Beware, outside of Last Turn, this card is terrible.
Traditional -- I don't think I'll rate traditional
anymore, I was a noob when Traditional was around,
and the last thing I remember about it was the
morph/ddwl/mst in 2's and 3's. No idea whats hot
there.
Constructed -- 5/5 in Last Turn, its needed. 1/5 in
everything else.

Self-Destruct Button
Another card that deserves to be banned…… But I
guess I’ll look at this one seriously. This card can
be beneficial, not to your everyday CC deck, but as
a part of OTKs. More specifically ones that lower
their own LP. Even more specifically Last Turn.
It’s a backup card to force the match to continue to
give the deck another chance at winning. Thanks to
this it actually is a strong card that sees play. If
you are focusing on lucksacking….. er I mean running
and OTK…. Then this card is something you should
consider. It doesn’t fit them all, but it does help.
If you are running Last Turn, run this card. If you
aren’t, then don’t.

Self-Destruct Button
Oh my god , this is situational, still it can be a
bit of a savoir. The best card this week ironically,
but you will never pull it off, and if you do, who
cares?

I
have a question, in order to keep things
interesting........
If Chuck Norris was in a fight against a demon, who
would win??
(Answer at bottom of review) today's card is a
decent card in its own deck.
Self-Destruct Button states.....
You can activate this card when your Life Points are
lower than your opponent's Life Points and the
difference is 7000 points ore more. Both player's
Life Points become 0.
It is one of the key cards used in last turn decks,
and getting hit with it time and time again really
makes you wish you had a royal decree handy.
In an average deck is gets a 0/5 because in normal
games you can not meet the criteria. But in a Last
Turn Deck it is a staple thus it gets a 5/5.
tying a game is better then losing it:P
At least today's card and possibly tomorrows doesn't
make the whole week a bad week.
ohhh,
"Did you know that Chuck Norris is Luke Skywalker's
Father?"
answer: The Demon by default, because Chuck would be
too busy beating Satan up: A much more worthy
adversary:P

This week we are looking at some very poor cards.
Today’s seems like the highlight of the week, just
because it has a use… I think.
Self-Destruct Button forces a draw, but only if your
opponent has at least 7000 more Life Points more
than you have. Since Life Gain decks aren’t all that
strong, this means burning your own Life Points. So
if you have a deck that burns through its own Life
Points quite easily, this can be an okay failsafe
mechanism, ensuring you don’t actually lose. Looking
at the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Official Rulebook
(Version 5.0), it states that you win a match if you
have two wins or one win and a draw. However, I
don’t know if that holds true for tournament play.
Even if it doesn’t, it’s better to draw than to
lose, and if you do it repeatedly, the opponent will
likely get mad and start making mistakes.
So what decks deplete their own Life Points? Best
example is Last Turn: basically it’s a Second Turn
Kill deck (only because you can’t activate Last Turn
right away since it’s a Trap). Yes, I know most of
our readers are familiar with it, but just in case,
I mentioned it. So, even if in tournaments they
require two actual wins to end the match… using
Self-Destruct Button would give you high odds of
either winning or drawing. So while it doesn’t
increase the odds of winning, it increases the odds
of not losing, and sometimes that’s just as
important. Additionally, I play Suicide Beatdown,
where I use lots of LP burning cards that have great
effects and then other cards that feed off my
lowered Life Points. I have debated using some cards
that raise (by small amounts) my opponent’s LP (like
Upstart Goblin if I only have a 38 card deck
otherwise) since then I can open with a Megamorph
enhanced Jirai Gumo without having to lower my own
Life Points. Which means I might end up crashing
into something nasty, not hitting my opponent… and
suddenly Self-Destruct Button looks mighty nice.
