Ceasefire
I'm almost sure we've done this one once before, but
it's worthy of mention in another review.
Ceasefire should be in every regular deck's side
deck, period. It should also be in every burn deck's
main deck, period. Ring of Destruction wasn't just
played because it was 1/1 monster destruction, it
was played becasue it won games. With Ring gone,
Ceasefire can be that clincher card, especially in
the slow games with each person having a couple
monsters on the field.
Negating flips is also a good thing, especially if
you think (or know, through a search or
Confiscation) that your opponent has one of those
evil little Magician of Faiths down that would
otherwise get them back a Graceful Charity...for the
fourth time... Finally, this card's a godly counter
to Nobleman of Crossout, especially when the monster
about to be Crossed isn't a Flip. At that point it's
a 1:1 that does some burn damage.
To finish up, heavy burn damage late-game, can win
games, screws over a couple of commonly played
cards...yeah, this is one of the biggest -1's your
side deck should be packing.

Today we look at one of my favorite Trap cards,
Ceasefire. A very powerful Burn card with a lot of
potential, and for good reason. You have potential
to deal 5000 points of damage to your opponent! For
those of you who are wondering, THAT is why
Ceasefire is Restricted.
Despite that fact, Ceasefire is very very
overlooked. That fact is very sad. Ceasefire should
at the least be a side-deck staple.
Everyone runs a few flips, and some run many more
than others, right?
Well, why not run a copy a punish them for it?
As for Burn, obviously, Ceasefire is still a solid
card. It isn't seen very often and you will more
than likely surprise your opponent when you do 2000
or more damage in a turn defeating them by a card
they have never had play against them.

Traditional: 4/5

Art: 3.5/5 Ceasefire has to have a downside, and the
picture sucks, but it fits.

Ceasefire:
Ceasefire is a lovely card, plain and simple.
When used properly, it does a good 1500-2500 damage
and negates a pesky MoF. When used forceably (ie.
MST), it's a 1-4-1 as it's chainable (provided
there's a monster on the field).
And, always remember the value of knowing what your
opponent has before you attack. You could have
summoned a Don only to find a Spirit Reaper. With
Ceasefire, you can use Smash instead and reap the
advantage.
Sadly, it is often hard to find room for Ceasefire
in a deck as it doesn't directly help the game.
Merely pushes things a little more in your favour
(especially in mirror matches).

Ceasefire is my favorite card right now. Seriously.
Ceasefire is a Spell Speed trap that takes a decent
deal of skill work with, it shouldn't be randomly
thrown unless you can actually support it. I like
Ceasefire with Mystic Tomato. Alot. The basic CC's
way of winning in this format is using self
replacing monsters like Flips and Tomatos, to
maintain even advantage (Or gain you advantage, of
course.) and eventually drop your big creatures to
create huge advantage swings in your favor.
Ceasefire of course doesn't work with Flips, I favor
running 2 Mystic Tomatoes, Ceasefire, and Creature
Swap. I can use Ceasefire to protect my face down
Tomatoes from Nobleman of Crossout, and when they
die in Battle I can bring out Sangan, tribute it off
for a Mobius or Zaborg!
This is a very aggressive format, and life points go
pretty fast. Sometimes you and your opponent will be
topdecking with below 2000 life points for either
one of you, and this is of course where Ceasefire
shines most! People rarely see it coming because
they don't consider Ceasefire that much of a threat,
but after they use Confiscation and take a few hits
to their life, Ceasefire is all that's needed to
finish them off.
It's pretty dependable and there isn't alot of cases
where I can honestly say that I didn't want
Ceasefire, its a solid card in most aspects of the
game and in my opinion is VERY under rated.
Of course, if you want to use this card, use your
brains! Don't run it with many Flips, I recently
dropped 2 Gravekeeper's Spys from my deck for a pair
of Mystic Tomatoes, which work perfectly with
Ceasefire.

Ceasefire;
Way back in Pharaohs servant we were treated to this
exceedingly powerful trap.
Ceasefire is sweet, a great tech against Nobleman of
Crossout, and a potential 5000 damage. This thing
wins games when used correctly, and staple in a burn
deck. This is Flip flop Pacman’s worst enemy.
Ceasefire is strong, very strong. A great bluff, and
a chainable , powerful card, although it may not be
for every deck. Almost definitely a side deck
staple.
Traditional ; 3/5 Lots and lots of removal, but
still fun.
Advanced : 3.8/5 Very good as a tech
Art : 2/5
