United We Stand
Yet another card I find myself removing from half of
the decks I fix...
This card was good in very few specific decks; the
Ben Kei one turn kill, the Cyber-Stein one turn kill
as a backup to Megamorph and Limiter
Removal...noticing a trend here?
Cards that boost ATK that aren't Rush Recklessly
should usually stay in one turn kill. In that deck,
you're SUPPOSED to overextend for one big turn,
because your deck supports that and usually scores a
win. In any other deck, overextending usually leads
to your equipped monster being destroyed and you
being left without a line of defense, and quickly
getting "ROFLstomped", if you want to put it that
way.
The average 1600 ATK boost just isn't worth the
investment. In this game, one card of advantage is
worth more than that.

This card was banned at one point. I find that
funny.
A maximum boost of 4000 is pretty cool, but
considering the fact that a Sakuretsu Armor pretty
much ruins your day, this is a really subpar choice
for any deck that can't make good use out of it. It
was funny when this was on the banned list and we
still had Magical Scientist. Ah, the good ol' days
of not taking a turn. Makes Cyber-Stein look kinda
weak by comparison.
Ben Kei OTK still exists, and this should go in it.
Everywhere else... Are you silly?

United We stand
If your running Scapegoat, Royal Decree, and a bunch
of monsters in a Cyber Stein deck this is a great
card. The ability to increase a monsters attack by
800 for each face-up monster is game ending. This is
the only equip spell card that increases attack
worth running. Only in beatdown decks, I've never
had an issue where this was a bad draw. I've made
top 8 in the past due to a scapegoat and BLS hitting
my opponent for game because united was attached to
either a token or BLS himself. In today's format I
recommend running this only if you use decree. It
pains me to see a huge monster die to sakuretsu
armor unless that monster is a goat token:p
4.2/5 if you take the appropriate action before
using it (making sure the attack hits)
1/5 if your playing it without a way to secure your
monsters (My Body as a Shield/Royal Decree)

United We Stand
UWS is a beast. Its definitely the strongest ATK
increasing Equip, because I don't count Megamorph.
Why? Because I choose not to.
Most of the time you're honestly only going to have
2/3 monster's on the field, that is, with most
decks. However, that's still a huge boost with UWS.
Equips haven't been good in a long time though =[.
I'm going to tech UWS for no reason in my next few
Local Tournaments. I'll let you know how it goes.
Actually, forget about it.
2/5.

United We Stand
Next up we’ve got United We Stand. I actually had
this played against at the Orlando Regionals in
October. 800+ ATK per monster is pretty insane. I
think this card can find itself into Main-Decks if
you want that little extra damage. If you’re
summoning two or creatures in one turn why not slap
down one of these babies for extra 1600+ LP damage?
A lot of players don’t like Equip Spells because
they cause you to commit more resources per turn
than you normally should. At the same time, if the
equip gets destroyed then the monster might suffer
that same fate in the current turn.
Having cards that truly reward the Equip Spell user
for playing them can really help to expand this
theme a bit more. There aren’t that many believe me.
Last Word: United We Stand may not to be TOO good in
a standard Monarch deck. Face-up creatures are
quickly fazing out of these decks and they are
returning to Flip-Effect style Control decks. It’s a
smart decision really. Hydrogeddon was a problem for
Dekoichi and Tomato players. Asura Priest is pretty
good against Hydrogeddon, but you still have to deal
with their S/T protection. This is only a problem
because the average deck only runs Breaker, MST, and
Heavy Storm. A maximum of 4 S/Ts can be destroyed
(On average, Heavy Storm will only destroy 2 S/Ts or
less in the typical match-ups).

I’ve received over 180 e-mails in the last two weeks
alone from the readers of my Pojo.com Card of the
Day Articles. I’m very grateful for the support and
I encourage you to e-mail me more decks. I’ve
answered about half of these e-mails and due to the
extreme demand of my deck advice I have a two week
minimum wait time. Rest assured, I REALLY take a
careful look at each deck and how it works within
the current metagame standards. The metagame is
always evolving and I’m right here to help you
construct a deck that will perform exceptionally.
