Cyber Dragon
He broke the game, plain and simple.
Without Cyber Dragon, we wouldn't have the
aggressive format we have today. He's broken as hell
and every single Top 8 Shonen Jump Championshp deck
from the last event ran the maximum of 3 allowed.
There's so much to like about this;
*2100 ATK, more than any standard 4-star monster
without a negative effect
*Free Special Summon, letting you not only have an
attacking force, but still giving you your Normal
Summon to possibly set something, giving you the
best of both offense and defense
*Quick Tribute fodder if you have no monsters on the
field, but need to get a Monarch into play
High ATK monster with no downside that still gives
you another Summon that turn. Essentially this card
went up to Marauding Captain and kicked him the
groin, as he makes that little Warrior obsolete.
It's enough to make you go
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! (Sorry, excited about
the Wii's recent release.)
5/5 all formats.

Cyber Dragon
It resembles, but is legally distinct from Onix.
GBA games I waisted my summer on aside, Cyber Dragon
continues to kick much booty. Cyber Dragon could be
taken as the definition of a momentum shift. You go
from having no monsters (and your opponent having
some) to having one good one (and your opponent
probably having fewer). He combos brilliantly with
Hand of Nephthys and similar cards. Basically, his
tin shall be on shelves for a negative amount of
time, as no one shall allow one to get put down.

Cyber Dragon
Umm?
Umm?
Do you need me to tell you this card is good?
Decent stats, killer effect, even better attribute,
and a damn good type.
This is not even mentioning the fact he has his own
sub-theme and three fusions.
One of the best cards made in sometime. The ability
to special summon a monster grants a player so many
options and ways to deal with the field it makes me
happy all over. Either he will be making your
opponents life hard by hitting their monster and
allowing reaper/don to steal a card, hitting them
with a buddy knocking them below stein range, or
being a fast sacrifice for one of the monarchs
(whose effect nullifies the tribute).
Machine decks also grant this monster a ridiculous
number of ways to abuse him. Summon Cyber Dragon,
Exiled Force, last will, Cyber Stein :P
Overload fusion bait
Limiter for 4200
etc.
5/5
- But you already knew that.
(Does not need to be banned or restricted, the kind
of card needed for a player to comeback from a
second turn dice roll.)

Cyber Dragon
I will keep it short & sweet since there isn't much
to really talk about here, Alright of all the GX
cards being released the best of the few were
released in CRV which are Cyber Dragon, Cyber Twin,
and obvious Cyber End Dragon. Now most cards being
released nowadays in my opinion fall into three
categories " Hero " or " Cyber " and random filler
from GX. Now its no surprise Cyber Dragon is seen in
most competitive decks its really good to return
from overwhelming odds or excellent tribute fodder
for Monarchs if there isn't a better option already
available. With " Chaos " being banned right now
Cyber Dragon is just remains a free beatstick and
tribute fodder like I mentioned earlier plus a
staple in Machine decks obvious . Now is it fair to
really include this as a real tribute monster in
most situations its just another free summon then it
if it gets Sak,Armored for example you can then
summon again or set which is very interesting and
what makes Cyber Dragon very competitive.
Traditional Format > 4.5/5: Now being Light gives it
a huge advantage in Traditional =/
Advance Format > 5/5: I hate to say it but if you
want to win any major events Cyber Dragon should be
in your deck
Artwork > 3/5: Like I said the last time I review
Cyber Dragon the artwork is not very dragon like
just a metal snake :P

Cyber Dragon
Sorry for lack of reviews in past few weeks, Ive
been very busy with
school/work and stuff. But Im gonna do this weeks.
Sorry for any short
reviews I do, as some we all know are good and some
we know are crap.
Today we look at Cyber Dragon. Originally from CRV
set, it came back out as
a Tin a month or so ago. Most decks will run this,
check metagame.com and
you'll see almost all of them have these in them.
This card is just too good
not to run.
If you have some, run them unless your bulding a
non-cc deck, I unno.

Cyber Dragon
is a card that seems great at first glance: as
long as you have no monsters in play and your
opponent has at least one, you can Special
Summon this card. Yu-Gi-Oh has long been a game
where your opponent will often clear your field
of monsters: we have mass removal cards that are
staples and have been since they came out (Mirror
Force and Torrential Tribute) and
many “one for one” forms of monster removal that
as a whole don’t leave us, this requirement is
most apt to be something you meet.
Now, I said that it seems great at first glance:
how could it be better? Well, sadly I suspect
some might dwell on the fact you’re “burning
your hand” if you Special Summon this and then
another Monster, but no I am not being that
silly. I simply mean that it goes from being a
great card to broken when you consider what it
does. Precious few decks aren’t enhanced by it,
which is a clear danger sign for a card. It
undermines a lot of value in this game as well:
2100 ATK is essentially the new “beatstick”
threshold. Remember Berserk Gorilla? He
fell out of favor in part because he was an
Earth-Attribute monster and did not feed
Chaos, but that is only part: the other is
Cyber Dragon would be so apt to a) run
over Berserk Gorilla, b) force Berserk
Gorilla to suicide into Cyber Dragon
for 100 LP loss and one card loss, or c) force a
player to shift Berserk Gorilla into DEF
mode so it doesn’t do “b”. 1900 ATK became less
than useful because of the monkey (unless they
had a good effect to go with them); now
Berserk Gorilla is less useful (as would
many other 2000 ATK Level 4s if they existed).
Its “stat” inflation and its getting annoying.
When this game began in the U.S. 1800 was the
pinnacle of vanilla beatsticks, and 2500 of
single-Tribute monsters. For all intents and
purposes, Cyber Dragon is just a Level 4
2100 with unusual drawbacks but a nifty bonus
effect. This also knocks some Tribute Monsters
down a peg. Vampire Lord at forced
Berserk Gorilla to suicide into it, but with
Cyber Dragon they don’t lose field
presence. Simply put if things keep growing
this way, it doesn’t seem likely to stop.
Already, we are due for a 2000 ATK Level 4
Vanilla Monster if spoilers I’ve seen are
accurate.

Cyber Dragon
To start off this week’s ‘Cyber Monsters’ theme we
have to review Cyber Dragon. No card has caused so
much controversy since Yata, Black Luster Soldier,
and Chaos Emperor Dragon. Cyber Dragon is literally
in 95% of decks. Even in decks it shouldn’t be in,
but it still works.
Players thought it shouldn’t go in Recruiter decks
and it did. People thought it shouldn’t be placed in
Controls decks and it did. Cyber Dragon is an
excellent card, but it doesn’t belong in every deck.
Decks can win without Main-Decking Cyber Dragon.
Last Word: Cyber Dragon has changed the game since
its release. Players have called for it to be
restricted or limited. I say that it’s here to stay
(just like Stein). Play Cyber Dragon if you want to,
but you don’t HAVE to play it you know?
