Cyber Archfiend
Promotes bad hand management much?
Okay...a 1000/2000 defender that gives you an extra
draw if you have no hand, but goes emo and kills
itself if you have a hand at all at the end of the
turn? Ouch. You'd essentially have to keep playing
every single card you drew for this to be any
benefit, and sooner or later (usually SOONER), the
opponent will make you pay for it.
There are better cards to topdeck if you're in a bad
situation, and you don't want to deliberately play
into a bad situation just to get an extra draw.
1/5 all formats.

Cyber Archfiend
I'd never considered the dark realms to be the sort
to use technology, but, eh, everyone's got to go
with the times eventually.
Cards containing the phrase "draw a card" generally
attract people's attention. This one does too; until
you finish reading the text box at least. The idea
of getting a free card when topdecking is appealing,
as is having it strapped to 2000 DEF. The main
problem is a card which blows itself up when you
have a hand.
Having a hand is agreed to be a solid path to
victory in this game. Giving it up for the chance of
a few more cards is a step too far for most (as you
would want to protect your fiend).

Cyber Archfiend
TEXT: At the beginning of your Draw Phase, if you

addition to the normal draw. During your End Phase,
if you have 1 or more card (s) in your hand, destroy
this card.
This monster is kinda an example of an ostrich. We
got a bird, something amazing capable of flight, but
this bird just can't fly, nope can't do it, instead
it just sticks its head in the ground to sleep?
Hear me out, a card that gives us a free draws and
then kills itself upon us having a card in our hand?
Without the second effect he'd been
banned/restricted. Too bad, but do not fret for the
new age burn decks utilizing chain links would so
totally own :) with him.
I've seen people use bubbleman to get a free draw,
but I can not honestly figure out why this monster
is not used in strait up burn? 2000 defense will
protect against almost anything and he grants the
burn player (who throws away a card for 1000 damage
or more) a free draw that more than likely will not
stay in your hand but be set on the field.
3/5 in the new age burn deck, kinda pointless
elsewhere. If anyone has such a deck in mind send me
a copy of it:P

Ostriches rock. They are birds you can ride
like horses! So what if they can’t fly? Oh,
and they’re pretty tasty too…
Cyber Archfiend
is interesting. The main problem is that (at
least with Level Limit-Area B at one per
deck, you’re only hope to get him into a
relatively safe DEF mode is to Special Summon
him (yes I am assuming it’s a he) via Mystic
Tomato or Last Will. Hmm… that might
have actually been cool if we’d have had it with
Chaos Emperor Dragon – Envoy of the End.
Right now, though, you’d need to build a weird
theme using several cards that a) burn cards
from hand in at least a semi-productive manner
and b) others that reward top-decking. Many of
the Cyber Monsters, both old and new
actually do that to a degree. Cyber Dragon
is a Monster that will rarely clutter your hand
(if you draw into it with Archfiend
already in play can can’t discard it for an
effect… duh, just summon it since Archfiend
would blow up anyway). That is another thought
if anyone wants to try and work it into
mainstream decks… just run it with something
that blows it up for gain. I mean, there’s
probably something worthwhile other than
Mystik Wok (though maybe that is good
enough). Cybernetic Cyclopean would
benefit from the hand trick as well. I can’t
say it’d be that great a deck, but at least it
might be fun.
