Newdoria
Welcome back, old friend.
Today we're reviewing Newdoria, one of the most
forgotten-about older cards that has seen a
resurgence in play lately.
Even back in the Chaos days, it had all the right
stats -- Dark, ATK under 1500, and a free removal
effect upon getting killed in battle -- doesn't even
have to take out the thing that destroyed it (so it
gets the "stops two attacks" thing that Tsukuyomi
had going for it.)
Newdoria is a good fit for our environment right
now; it's anti-Asura Priest, so they either nuke
their Asura and you get a reduced or open field to
attack into next turn, or they leave it and either
have to waste another removal card or let you attack
with it next turn. It's not as good against the
Hydrogeddons, but there are other options for that,
and other defensive cards that can serve that
purpose.
It's still good, and the only decent Tomatoable
monster removal card we have.

Newdoria:
This card continues to perpetuate the myth that
hunched shuffling creatures are evil harbingers of
destruction.
A fairly standard inclusion in a Strike Ninja deck
or any similar Mystic Tomato toolbox, Newdoria is
fairly similar in use to D.D. Assailant. Your
opponent is going to lose a card to get rid of this
thing, either a monster of your choice, which in
some way is more powerful than DDA as you can choose
a face-down you don't like the look of, or through
an s/t method. The reason for not being a standard
inclusion is the meager 1200 ATK, making Newdoria a
strictly defensive card.

Newdoria
Newdoria is one of those cards that will pop into a
format every now and then. He’s great for dealing
with Asura Priest. He’s also a great Creature Swap
target against your opponent’s 2+ monsters. I’ve
always liked Newdoria because of his ability to
destroy ANY monster on the field. You’d be surprised
how many opponents won’t attack this guy.
Last Word: There isn’t much I can tell you that you
don’t already know. Newdoria is an excellent card.

Newdoria - Monday's Review
Again I'd like to say sorry for the way my CoTD
looks(if it looks like a sentence it 1 line done or
so, its not me.
Ahh finally a good card to review. Today we look at
Newdoria from the Pgd set. Although this card may be
weak in stats, it does have a good effect to back
itself up.
Basically once it gets destroyed in battle and sent
to graveyard, select 1 monster card on the field and
destroy it. It could be the monster that killed it
or another 1 of his monsters. Or perhaps it can be
one of your monsters too.
Tomato's can bring this thing out easily, and you
can always suicide this into a big threat and clear
the path out for Cybers, or other big monsters to
attack. Might not be as good as last format but
still a very good choice.

Newdoria
Having controlled a lot of games with him during the
Columbus regional, this monster has proven his
worth. Aggression, monster removal, Ninja food,
Necrofear food, etc.

Newdoria
Basic Summary: Well before I review this card today
since this card does remind me of Strike Ninja that
I’am greatly disappointed that none have Top 8 the
last two SJC in the new format without Chaos
Sorcerer to hinder it. Now after that little
sidetrack back to the card…When I think of Newdoria
it reminds that Pgd was the true start of one of
most decent deck types Tomato Control with the
released of Don Zaloog, Newdoria, and most important
Spirit Reaper. Now being Dark it can benefits the
Strike Ninja deck greatly as searchable ( Last Will,
Mystic Tomato/Dark, and Sangan/Dark ) or added
removal for a Fiend deck or Tomato Control if you’re
not already running Zaborg the Thunder Monarch. Its
ATK/DEF are rather decent since 1200 isn’t really
bad it can take some things being play nowadays, Its
effect in battle is what really matters since
Newdoria is a greatly improved Man-Eater Bug back in
the day only second to Exiled Force for 1:1 monster
removal in the form of a monster. Now it goes
without saying that Tomato Control should be packing
at least x2 of these to make up for the restriction
of Spirit Reaper ( which was needed ) or Dark
monster removal for Strike Ninja which would most
likely be running Mystic Tomato also.
Conclusion: Now just because I said that Strike
Ninja hasn’t made Top 8 SJC doesn’t hinder my review
of Newdoria I would just like to see one someday not
just Chaos decks that just minus the Chaos part =/
but the Top 8 of Gearfreed/Blast with Chains made me
hopefull for it.
Traditional Format > 1/5: Not really effective there
soo much monster removal is done through effect in
my opinion little gets destroyed through battle
here.
Advance Format > 3.5/5: In general it’s a rather
decent card but the review for Strike Ninja/Tomato
Control is 5/5
Artwork > 3/5: Its rather cool looking for a green
haired freakish thing >.>

Newdoria
Anyone miss me? Thought not, well if you hadn’t
noticed I missed all of last week, but I’m here now
and that’s what matters. So, Newdoria.
I’ve been using Newdoria for a LONG time in my fiend
deck, WELL before it was cool. He’s a handy - dandy
piece of removal, arguably as good as DD Warrior
lady since he may only destroy monsters when he’s
destroyed in battle, but he can select ANY monster
on the field to nuke. That’s why he’s near staple in
fiend, Necro food and monster destruction in a
tomato-able little critter.
That’s where Newdoria’s other handy feature comes
in. He’s also near staple in Tomato control where he
pops up to give Cyber Dragon’s hell . Typically with
a New-icide (that’s just hilarious, you watch that
phrase catch on) , but with 1200 attack that’s not
bad. 1200 is pretty much enough these days to scrape
by , so by all means stick him in.
Traditional ; 3/5 Fairly decent here, also being
note-worthingly dark.
Advanced : 4/5 1 for 1 in monster form is fair, and
this offers great support to fiends.
Art ; 3/5 There’s parts I really like, and parts I
don’t.
MPS : 4/5 Classic Maltos
