Whirlwind Weasel

This card is crappy because it falls under one of my big beliefs about the game: Destruction effects > negation effects.

It's almost ALWAYS better to destroy a card outright as opposed to stopping it from being used. This is why Jinzo fell out of favor once better options became available, this is why Giant Trunade only belongs in decks that can win in the one turn of freedom it provides, etc.

This is horrible, seriously. 500 ATK and you only stop S/Ts for one turn...or if it's attacked, 1500 DEF and your opponent just has to not activate their S/Ts in Main Phase 2 -- they can still set stuff and just use it next turn!

This card is filler at its finest -- will never see any kind of competitive play and for good reason.

Whirlwind Weasel:
Yu-Gi-Oh continues to widen ones horisons (well, about the living) to the realm of flying Weasels.

Locking down the activation of most cards a player controls can be powerful, as shown by Cold Wave.
However, you would prefer to be able to trigger this effect in your own turn (in order to attack without
fear) or at the start of your opponent's turn. A Flip effect does not provide this flexibility, and with a fairly unimpressive body, this spinning otter-esque thing doesn't make the cut.

This monster is not really all that bad.

As far as decks that could utilize him, I think Cyber Stein could work closely in hand with it. Acting like another s/t protection card (DUH).

Yet being a flip effect hurts his playability. His stats are way to low. He will probably never be seen in the main/side decks of a top 8, simply b/c he is slow.

Right now it is all about speed. My Body as a Shield does what he wants to do only better. Simply b/c it rids itself of the threat.

Whirlwind Weasel

Interesting, VERY interesting.

I think Cold Wave does this better, but at least with this the opponent is fairly screwed. Lock-down tech is sweet, and if Tsukuyomi was back I could see this being fairly sweet in the right tempo deck , still as it is it’s not that good.

Flip this on the opponent turn (somehow) and that’s fairly decent, locking them in for the turn. Odds are though that this won’t happen because the most likely way of flipping this will be through battle, but if you manage it on your turn then you’re fairly safe since their traps are their own, and unless they chain to the flip summon they’re locked down.

In short, enormous potential, but limited this format.

Whirlwind Weasel

Basic Summary: I really love this card.... Not really for the card itself but for its hilarious name. No actually it isn't a very bad card most reviewers will probally disagree but could potentially work in a Beast deck for a Flip Effect version of " Cold Wave " kind of..... Not really but I try to make these cards usefull =/. No this card isn't going to doo much if your opponent triggered the effect during their turn they will just not play anything else then end their turn. Now " If " you flip WW during your turn you have a great protection for a offensive attack with anything big like Berserk Gorrilla, Enraged Battle Ox, Or Indomitable Fighter Lei Lei for a Beast deck but other then that it isn't really something you want to add to your deck without any thought.

Conclusion: This card could benefit Beast deck but in my opinion " Cold Wave " is a better card or just sidedeck Whirlwind Weasel to test out new stuff ^.^

Traditional Format > 1.0/5: Not of any use here in Traditional like most recent cards released nowadays

Advance Format > 2.1/5: Beast deck maybe ?

Artwork > 4/5: I love the artwork of this card but I love the name more lol :D

Whirlwind Weasel
Today we look at WhirlWind Weasel. Didnt even know this card was out till I looked at the review. But anyways.

Basically its stops your opponent from activating any spells or traps for the rest of turn. Could be good, if you think you have game. Might be good will Cyber Stein, could be game ending. It still doesnt destroy them though.

Short review today, but I wont be hard on this card.
