Mokey Mokey

Dear God, why...

I'm sorry, but there are currently 3 monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh that are acceptable to play that have 300 ATK; one retreives Spells, one is an infinite wall, and one stops Cyber-Stein from successfully killing you in one turn.

This card does none of these things. In order for this card to do anything good, it requires more cards in a combo than I'm willing to commit. (Remember the golden rule -- if you need three cards in order to make a combination work, that 3-card combination must win you the game immediately if it is successful.)

1/5 all.

Mokey Mokey

Welcome to what promises to be a somewhat original week devoted to one of the cream puff’s of this humble game, Mokey Mokey. MM, for short, since my comp’s having problems with the word ’Mokey’ being used twice in a row.

As a stand alone monster, MM leaves a lot to be desired. An attack power of 300 and a Defense power of 100 make this monster even weaker than everyone’s favourite level 1 fiend - Kuriboh, the king of all these monsters. Being level 1 and light doesn’t matter at all now, since Chaos sorcerer and Thousand - eyes restrict have both kicked the bucket , and Fairy essentially means nothing.

MM, like all good cream puffs, has its own support though, or at least a reason to be played. Those will be reviewed later this week, as I’m sure you’ve figured out by now.

MM’s rating is hard to do, since the deck he’s in relies upon him regardless of format, but outside of that he’s obviously awful. I’ll just pop on my own ratings, and let you be the judge.

Art : 3/5 He gets points for being a marshmallow square, and that he’s in the Dark Factory of Mass production picture, but the sumo - face sort of ruins it for me…

MPS : 4/5 I love my cream balls.

Basic Summary: Now this week we're reviewing " Mokey Mokey " that little non-effect monster shape like a pillow released back in AST. Now it goes without saying that this card ONLY belongs in its own deck type but with some support ( reviewed this week ) it could be a fun deck to run and win with. Now on a sidenote in our players circle ( Niagara Falls ) BobDoily ( If you haven't noticed loves this card ) always favored Mokey Mokey/Skull Servant while me on the other hand favored the pink fluffy Watapon of doom :P just a little story to fill out the review since there is nothing really to review.

Conclusion: Now like I mentioned above only run it in its own deck type period.

Traditional Format > 1/5: Why not.... its Light

Advance Format > 5/5: Mokey Mokey deck

Artwork >3/5: Weird very odd pillow with wings and a anger issue >.>'

Mokey Mokey:
Welcome to Mokey Mokey Week. If you imagine that sentence being said by a man drained of all emotion, you might just be near to how I thought the line as I wrote it.

This is a Level 1 Normal Monster that can't even hold its own in combat against Mask of Darkness. Thus, it is utter rubbish.

Now, the rest of the week will introduce us to cards that add some power to these little flying toasters.
However, the lack of success for Gravekeeper's shows me that cards that rely on other cards to be truely powerful aren't worth bothering with.

Toaster Deck: 5/5

Mokey-Mokey week:P

The fact someone on the TV show played such a deck surprised me. I have never seen anyone run this monster or run a mokey-mokey deck. For my articles I have asked time and time again for a good mokey-mokey deck. But most of them don't work in quick play testing. I have never used this card either, outside of play testing. Thus I honestly do not know what a good mokey-mokey deck should look like.
The only reason I have never been dead set on using him is because it is a normal monster with bad stats.

He is meant for his own deck, never outside of it:P

Sense I have yet to play a mokey-mokey deck I do not know how it will fare. If anyone has a strong, well built, and tourny winning mokey deck, hit me up. Someone who is reading this has had to use him and won something. If later in the week we see no Mokey Deck post, then you all know no one has ever won a tournament with this card. Thus until I get a deck, I am not rating him.

Outside of his deck I'd have to ask you your reason for running him though:P

Anyone????????????????????????????????????????

Mokey Mokey: AST-057

Mokey Mokey on its own is just not that powerful. He requires a whole slew of other support cards to become a stronger entity on the field. He’s MEGA cute and lo and behold…he’s a Fairy-type.

I’m not too fond of cutesy cards like Mokey Mokey, but it’s sure hard to ignore this little guy.

Last Word: Mokey Mokey is the base of any Mokey Mokey deck. So I’ll rate it based on that.

Bob Doily
Today starts a very significant week. This week we are looking at one of the most overlooked archetypes in the game. Mokey Mokey. Now Mokey Mokey is a force to be reckoned with in traditional. Combined with all of his amazing support and the fact that he is a light makes her viable in a solid chaos deck.

I myself have once taken this further; I combined her with the power of Skull Servant to make arguably my strongest deck ever. Mokey Mokey Skull Servant Chaos. How can you compete with that? Hopefully now you can understand the true reasoning behind the ban of Chaos Sorceror, UDE was afraid, very very afraid. Had they not done this we would likely have been swarmed by skeletons and flying pillows. They were especially concerned because the Return variant of this deck can compete on par with the mighty Watapon.

So the new ban list really opens the game, Watapon Monarch is a seriously threat and we have to figure out something to be able to deal with it. So I’ve done some thinking, and I’ve even discussed this idea with MikeJ. So I propose a potential revolution in the way we play……….

Mokey Mokey OTK.

Now I’ve thought long and hard about this, and I’m sure that it will work. Know why? The secret is in the text of Mokey Mokey: Sometimes he gets mad, and that is dreadful. You see? With the loss of his buddy the Sorcerer, Mokey Mokey became angry. And is now ANGRY MOKEY MOKEY!!!!

So you must be wondering how this otk works? Well in fact it is simple here is how you do it.

First off you must start out by special summoning a Mokey Mokey. I myself prefer Enchanted fitting Room, but Last Will is also another option. Unfortunately Shining Angel won’t work, but Spirit Caller could be useful. Next chain Infernal Reckless Summoning to special summon your other mokey mokeies.

Here comes the complicated part. Slam down Fusion Gate, bring out King Mokey Mokey. Dimension fusion, do it again, bring them back again. Now you need to make sure that you have Mokey Mokey Smackdown ready. Play it and use Tribute to the Doomed, or some other card to destroy a King Mokey Mokey. Now play 3 Triangle Powers and Delta Attacker.

And there you have it!!! Each Mokey Mokey would be at: 3000+2000+2000+2000=9000
Each attacking directly!!!!!
Those are some really ANGRY MOKEY MOKEYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Traditional: 5/5
Advanced: 5/5 (how can you possibly do better than that?)
