Friday
Closing out the week, we look at Destiny Draw, a
card that is the heart and soul of a Diamon Dude
Turbo Deck. The effect is incredibly simple, you
discard a D-Hero, and draw two cards. A two for two
for D-Heroes.
Destiny Hero Malicious perhaps?
Not much else to say about this card. Obviously a
Draw Staple in D-Hero and very abusable in Diamond
Dude Turbo. Play it in the decks it belongs, and no
where else.

5/5 D-Hero/Diamond Dude Turbo

Destiny Draw :
Admire the card masher in action on this shiny shiny
card.
Like most of the ultras in the duelist packs, this
is a reasonable card given far too much rarity.
Drawing cards is always good, and discarding a
monster isn't too much to ask. By making it a
Destiny Hero, it provides balanced support to a deck
that could use some support, but I don't know how
much use this will be. Often when you need the
cards, your hand will already be empty, so this
might be off the mark, but their heart is in the
right place.

Destiny Draw
Diamond Dude makes this thing into a pot of greed.
Malicious makes this thing into a pot of greed. The
fact DDT has multiple ways to utilize this card for
plus advantage is one of the many reasons the deck
type is playable. Outside of a deck with proper
support this is a waste of time but then you;d not
be playing DDT.
4.5/5
One of the best forms of draw power ever made. I
especially admire people who use it with malicious
in monarch decks. |

Destiny Draw
This card needs no introduction of
course. The new generation ‘Pot of Greed’. This card
is not bad at all.
Extremely easy to use with any number
of Destiny Heroes, but most commonly used in Diamond
Dude Turbo.
In testing I’ve made decks that
splash Destiny Draw with some Destiny Heroes and
they work well. Destiny Hero monsters work well in
other decks. The added draw power is a HUGE plus to
the speed of any deck. The only problem is fitting
those Destiny monsters into your deck.
Other than that, I’ll take 2 cards
any day. How many people think this is how Pot of
Greed should have been made?
Last Word:
Destiny Draw is an extremely good
card with such a minimal cost it’s almost
unnecessary to print it on the card anyway. They had
to make it “fair” for us. ^_^

It’s Friday the 13th!!!! Anyone around here
superstitious?
DESTINY DRAW
[Spell Card]
Discard 1 "Destiny Hero" card. Draw 2 cards.
Well, here’s an expensive card. Very simple to
understand. Discard a destiny hero, draw 2. A 2 for
2. Obviously, this card belongs in a Destiny Hero
deck. It’s especially effective in the Diamond Dude
Turbo deck. It’s simply amazing how fast the deck
works. It can easily get around this card being a 2
for 2. You can discard malicious, draw 2 cards,
special summon another malicious. You can discard
Dasher, and later on draw a DMoC and get to special
summon it, and get back Destiny Draw or something
else of value, or, if you need to, you can discard
Diamond Dude. And, of course, Draw can get revealed
by Diamond Dude’s effect, too. Then you get to draw
2 cards for free.
Not much else to say here, if you run Destiny Heros
in your deck, and you have this card, then play it.
Otherwise, don’t.
Traditional: 3.5/5 (D-Hero only, DDT could possibly
work well here)
Advanced: 5/5 (D-Hero Only)

Friday
Well to conclude the week we are looking at another
solid support card in Destiny Draw. Now regardless
of my bias against e-heros and d-heros I have to
admit that they’ve finally been getting solid
support that actually allows them to have some form
of a competitive deck. The case in point would of
course be the DDT. Even with a decline in popularity
it’s still an example of a competitive d-hero deck.
Destiny Draw is a prime example of solid, theme
specific support. I have no qualms with that and
encourage using it in the right place. Needless to
say ratings are quite useless thanks to this, since
outside of a d-hero deck it is useless. |
