Well, it appears to be another Dino week...or
something. Anyway, today we start with Goblin Out of
the Frying Pan, a card with one of those names that
just makes you ask why.
The effect is simple--it's a counter Trap that
allows you to negate the activation of a Magic card
and return it to the owner's hand at the cost of 500
lifepoints. As I said, simple enough, right?
Here's the problem--the card goes back to your
opponent's hand. Odds are you will want to destroy
the Magic card, since you are most likely negating
it since you do NOT want the effect to go off.
Not worth it, in my opinion.
Ratings:
1/5 Sorry folks, recycling your opponent's card with
a cost just isn't worth it.
Art: 3/5
You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Goblin Out of the Frying Pan
I could make this review very short and simply say
this "card sucks", but in the interests of looking
for the best in everything, I'll give it shot.
This card has some potential, but not in this
metagame. If we regularly saw people using Spell
Cards that had substantial costs (Dimension Fusion,
Spell Reproduction, Magical Shard Excavation) then
this card could be worth the -1 and the 500 LP
expenditure (although Magic Jammer, Magic Drain and
Spell Shield Type-8 are all superior). But, since we
don't see those cards in every deck, this Trap
really doesn't have much going for it.
Given that Goblin is a Counter Trap, if you played
this in a Counter Fairy deck, you at least avoid the
-1 this card gives you, so long as Bountiful Artemis
is on the field. Other then that, don't bother.
This card is the essence of "filler".
---------------------------
Traditional:
1/5 - Imperial Order is all you need.
Advanced:
2/5 - Counter Fairy Deck (there are better Counter
Traps)
1/5 - Everything Else
Card Art:
1/5 - I see the Goblin, and I see the Pot of Greed.
What has this to do with a Frying Pan? Or is this
the Judge condemning the Goblin from "Jar Robber" to
a life of being forced to watch 4kids dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh?

Pay 500 Life Points. Negate the activation of a
Spell Card and return it to the owner's hand.
So we start the week of the Dino's Rage structure
deck!
To me this card screams to me to try to emulate
Compulsory Evacuation Device but for magic cards,
unfortunately not as potent. Lets look at its good
points shall we?
Its counter trap. It is the best form of trap you
can get that is speed spell 3. This means the end of
the chain unless people can correctly chain another
speed spell 3 trap to it, which for our sakes is
pretty low on the meta at the moment.
Bad points: Its effect is pretty weak, returning 1
spell to the owners hand isn't going ever to effect
the game that much as that person can't activate it
another time. I suppose you can activate it to a
chained scapegoat or enemy controller if you're
going to attack for game. Although under all
situations this card is surpassed by solemn
judgement or magic drain.
This card has no real relevant use unless making
them pay the cost for a magic card, which currently
isn't that steep. If I am missing any amazing combo
with this card please do email me ( emuron@gmail.com)

Goblin Out of the Frying Pan :
Why does the man not accept the Pot of Greed?
Everyone likes Pot of Greed!
This is a fairly useless counter. For starters, it
is a -1 that costs a small amount of life. Next, it
is a
-1 because it returns the spell to its owner's hand.
Then, the owner can just play it again immediately.
The only use this card is to make a player pay a
cost twice, and most cards people play have small
costs that you wouldn't mind paying twice.

Hello all, and welcome to another week of card
reviews here on Pojo. Today we look at….
Goblin out of the Frying Pan
Counter Trap
Pay 500 Life Points. Negate the activation of a
Spell Card and return it to the owner's hand.
Ummmm…..well, it’s a counter trap, so I guess it
won’t get Decree’d….I guess. But, honestly, why play
this card? It only costs 500 life points, that isn’t
too bad, but it returns the spell card to your
opponent’s hand, where it can be played again. This
is a –1. I suppose you can try it in a counter fairy
deck so you at least break even with Artemis on the
field, but I would much rather play Magic Drain, or
even Magic Jammer. The absolute BEST situation I
could think of for this card is negating a card with
a big cost. Like a Dimension Fusion or something?
Having to pay 2000 life points twice is a heavy
loss. Other than that……no, just no. I just don’t
know what I can say about this card……
Traditional: 1/5 (Imperial Order anyone?)
Advanced: 1.5/5 (We don’t have Imperial Order, but
Magic Drain tops this trap in ever aspect)
Art: 2/5 (Drain wins again)
