Today we look at one very powerful monsterrrr, who
obviously works very well with the Gadgets as,
depending on which one or ones you use to tribute
for him he gains an additional effect or effects.
Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon is all ready powerful
on his own. 3000 attack is good, while 2000 defense
is solid, but a little low. So, here's what this
breaks down to: You will need to tribute two
monsters, being Level 8, so:
Green Gadget gives this guy trample, if you're only
going for trample, why not use Ancient Gear Golem?
Red Gadget lets you do 400 damage anytime this guy
destroys something. While Yellow Gadget lets you do
600.
So, if you do Red and Yellow, you're doing an extra
1000 points of damage a turn, but you could mix it
up for trample and damage, it's up to you. For now,
this is a good card, since Gadgets are all the hype,
BUT, we get a new Ban List in about 3 weeks...

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon :
Ah, a return to form for the card name designers.
This isn't bad as such, but two tribute monsters
must do something absolutely gamebreaking to justify
the investment of resources, or be invulnerable to
death.
This card contains neither of these, merely
providing slightly more interesting ways of doing
damage. I'm perfectly happy flipping a Stealth Bird
every turn, so this doesn't do very much, especially
as gadgets are really too fast for two tribute
monsters.

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon
As far as two tributes go this one is one of my
favorites. I consider it a better ancient gear
golem. The reason being that it sacrifices its
trample ability for the ability to be special
summoned. A gadget/chimera deck, any deck using
multiple brain controls, or dimension
fusion/premature burial/call of the haunted can
benefit from the use of this monster. I have
personally been obsessed with Mirage Dragon and
Pitch Black Warwolf for sometime now. This is
basically them on crack:)
It has huge stats, a self protection mechanism, and
the ability to gain multiple effects (the trample
one is the only important one outside of free
attacks). I can see some people(I think to myself!)
utilizing this for a surprise swing for the game.
4/5
A good monster, the two tribute issue will hurt you
badly if your opponent is running 30 smashing ground
like cards. But if you use this you should not be
normal summoning it. Get creative!

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon
Gadjiltron Dragon is a good card.
He’s Ancient Gear Golem without the Special
Summoning restriction.
He sits at 3000 ATK and 2000 DEF,
which is not bad at all. Even better, he has the
ability to prevent anything from activating when he
attacks. As a bonus, if you Tribute summon for him
by Tributing a Gadget or two you get the effects
listed on the card:
-
Green Gadget: During battle between this attacking
card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is
lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the
difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.
- Red Gadget: If this card inflicts Battle Damage to
your opponent, inflict 400 damage to your opponent.
- Yellow Gadget: If this card destroys your
opponent's monster by battle, inflict 600 damage to
your opponent.
As far as I know these effects stack.
I could be wrong though. I’m going to verify this by
tomorrow.
Last Word:
If you ever wanted to play with
Ancient Gear monsters, play with Gadjiltron Dragon.
If you Tribute for this card with a Green Gadget,
you get the same effect as Ancient Gear Golem.
Except that Gadjiltron is much more playable.

the next Ban List coming on March 1st. I
am doing some insightful speculation on what may
come and I invite you to join as well.
Whether you agree or not doesn’t
matter as long as we’re talking about it. The best
thing is to be prepared for the changes that are
coming and be open to new and radical ideas. You

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon
A Tribute monster in a Gadget deck? Weird, eh?
Well, I'm not going to cover the special abilities
of this card because frankly, unless you are running
Ultimate Offering, Premature Burial and/or Call of
the Haunted, there isn't a consistent way to ensure
you will have 2 Gadgets on the field to tribute for
this behemoth. (unless you run Brain Control and you
are facing off against another Gadget deck)
What I would like to bring to your attention
however, is what is missing from the card. Let's
have a look at the card text. See anything missing?
How about the words: "This card cannot be Normal
Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special
Summoned except by.."
Yep, that's right. This card ISN'T a Nomi monster.
That means you can dump this card into the gravyard,
and then bring it back via Call of the Haunted or
Premature Burial.
And what card do we commonly see run in a Gadget
deck? Yeah, you guessed it! Snipe Hunter.
So, toss this guy to the Graveyard with Snipe
Hunter, flip up Call of the Haunted, declare an
attack (which your opponent cannot respond to with
either a trap or spell) and drop Limiter Removal for
the lucksac...er..the win!
Ancient Gear Beast.
Ancient Gear Golemn.
Both would be awesome to summon in this fashion, but
neither can be special summoned! Take advantage of
that, and abuse this guy's 3000 ATK as much as you
can.

Traditional:
1/5 = Two Tributes, not LIGHT or DARK, etc etc etc..
Advanced:
3/5 = In a Gadget deck
4/5 = In a Mirror Match against a Gadget deck with
you running 2-3 Brain Controls.
2/5 = Everywhere else (think Blue Eyes, only you can
use Limiter)

3/5: Looks like a rusty Cyberdark Dragon to me.

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon
Attrib: Earth
Type: Machine/Effect
Level:8
Atk: 3000
Def: 2000
If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate
any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage
Step. If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing
any of the following monster(s), this card gets the
appropriate effect(s): •Green Gadget: During battle

your opponent. •Red Gadget: If this card inflicts
Battle Damage to your opponent, inflict 400 damage
to your opponent. •Yellow Gadget: If this card
destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict
600 damage to your opponent.
That's a lot of text isn't it?
Realistically this card could function in any
machine deck but how well? Well it would need a
seriously amount of protection. It rivals Blue Eyes
with the attack (with a somewhat decent effect going
on here – more lately) yet it falls short as Blue
Eyes has greater support in the form of Kaiba man.
Well try and not hold this against the card.
The effects which this card has when tributing is
interesting. At first glance the red and yellow
effect is rather really pointless, battle damage for
400, and destruction for 600 damage but the green
gadget is what makes this a force to be reckoned
with. For the remainder of the review ll lets
consider if we can turn this card into a one-turn
kill.
The fact that its impervious to harm during the
battle step makes it really good at stopping those
pesky Sakuretsu armors and widespread ruins. If only
we could get piercing effects and boost it up to
well over 12000 attack in one turn, if only. We can.
One of the best things about the Gadgets is that
when they are summoned they are self-replacing. This
means that you will always have a supply in your
hand, so lets get them all on the field. Using the
trap card Ultimate offering you can summon all three
gadgets or two if you don't want to overkill and
tribute them for this rogue of a monster. Then it's
a simple case of boosting its power over 12000 and
your set, with either some limiter removal or
megamorph for a one-turn kill - were not fussy.
However has anyone noticed an alternative win
strategy with this card? Why not just say discard
them to the grave or remove them from play and bring
em back for one foul swoop at a win. This card has
potential.
The problems facing this deck are simple, it's based
around a trap, its based around limited cards. These
however didn't stop stein and this could work Just
make sure you're packing plenty of stall.

Lonely Wolf |
Hello to all! Welcome to another week of reviews, we
look at a few machine monster, and an old favorite.
Today’s card is...
SD10-EN001
ANCIENT GEAR GADJILTRON DRAGON
Earth
LV8
ATK/3000 DEF/2000
[Machine/Effect]
If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate
any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage
Step. If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing
any of the following monster(s), this card gets the
appropriate effect(s):
•Green Gadget: During battle between this attacking
card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is
lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the
difference as Battle Damage to your opponent's Life
Points.
•Red Gadget: If this card inflicts Battle Damage to
your opponent, inflict 400 damage to your opponent.
•Yellow Gadget: If this card destroys your
opponent's monster by battle, inflict 600 damage to
your opponent.
Ok, let’s break this down. Machine is good, so it
combos with Limiter. An 8 star is not so good. The
effect of 2 tribute monster has to be REALLY good to
see play. So, there are not really any two Tribute
monsters that are worth playing, except for possibly
DMoC. But it does have 3000 attack, and 2000
defense. That’s enough to beat out basically
everything in today’s format in battle. And if for
some reason this bad boy is in defense, the opponent
needs something of Cyber Dragon attack or higher to
take it out.
Now, on to the effect. Like most of the Ancient
Gears it gets the nifty ability to stop the opponent
from activating any Spells or Traps once the attack
is declared. No Sakuretsu, no Mirror, no Enemy
Controller, no Rush Recklessly. Keep in mind though
that the Ancient Gear player can still activate
Spells and Traps, making this card an even deadlier
combination with Limiter Removal.
The second part of the effect is how you try to
justify the monster being two tributes. While you
don’t have to, if you sacrifice a gadget, you get an
effect added to your dragon. Tributing a Gadget
won’t hurt a player as much as other monsters, and
these effects are used when this Dragon battles,
which once again combos with its first effect. So,
how good are the added effects? Green=trample=good,
Red=400 more damage when you inflict battle
damage=not worth it. Yellow=600 damage upon
destroying a monster=ok, combos with the trample
effect Green gives it, I guess. But 400 and 600
extra damage aren’t all that great. It might give
you the win once in a while, but overall they aren’t
worth it.
If you decide to run this card, it belongs in an all
out Gadget Machine deck, and preferably brought out
by tributing a Green Gadget. And even then I would
probably rather play Wednesday’s card.
