Dark Paladin
Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera is another interesting monster, who, in my discretion, I don't believe is quite as good as his bigger brother.

2300 attack for a one tribute monster is good, lower than the 2400 standard, but still good. This guy also gets an effect depending on what gadget you used to summon him.

Green increases his attack to 2600 which means he probably won't be destroyed by something unless it required two tributes, Chimeratech Dragon, or a Magic or Trap card.

Red allows you to do 500 extra damage, but only if this monster sucessfully attacks your opponent directly, which seems to be the worst option.

Yellow allows you to do 700 damage to your opponent each time he destroys a monster, which is more than his big brother allows, unless you tributed Red and Yellow.

Not a bad monster for one tribute, try and see.

You stay classy, Planet Earth :)

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chiemera

Please see Monday's review. This card works in almost the same way, though trample is better than ATK boosts. OK, it only needs one tribute, but it still isn't that useful.

Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera

Unlike the other cotd's this week this monster provides us low stats and multiple lackluster effects.

1/5

A cool picture, but that alone does not merit play when Mobius, Zaborg, White-Horned Dragon, Vampire Lord, Airknight Parasath, (etc.)
do something game altering for that tribute.

Well, I for one like this card. It's a neat little tool for Ratbox and Earth aggro, and gives Ancient Gears synergy with Ancient Gear Drill, like we saw in Shonen Jump Orlando, to get out the combo pieces of Chimeratech Over Dragon. It works with all Ancient Gear Support, and is great against Gadgets. Overall, a cool card and a bit of more support for Ancient Gears.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all. Now, you would think we’d review something cute, and cuddly. Just to go with the holiday. Maybe Winged Kuriboh….or Mokey-Mokey….but instead we look at a card that I wouldn’t exactly put in the “cute and cuddly” category.

[Machine/Effect]
If you Tribute Summon this card by Tributing 1 of the following monsters, this card gets the appropriate effect:
•Green Gadget: This card gains 300 ATK.
•Red Gadget: If this card successfully attacks your opponent directly, inflict 500 damage to the opponent.
•Yellow Gadget: If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle, inflict 700 damage to your opponent.

This card is similar to Gadjiltron Dragon. Except its only got 2300 attack and it’s only a one tribute, and there is a slight effect change.

To start things off, it’s a Machine, so it again combos with Limiter Removal. 2300 attack for a one-tribute monster isn’t all that bad. Sure, its 100 points shy of monarch status, but they try to justify the slight lack of attack power again with the effect. And 1300 Defense is a little low, but at least it can’t be killed by Tsukuyomi, if it ever came off the Banned List.

On to the effect. This card is lacking the effect that all the other ancient gears are given. That nifty ability at stopping the opponent from activating spell and traps once it declares an attack. Without that effect, I find it hard to justify playing this card. Anyway, this card, like its Dragon brother, gets effects when a Gadget is tributed. Red and Yellow give it an almost identical effect that the Dragon got, except it’s 100 points more. Still not worth. If you tribute a Green Gadget, however, this card gets 300 more attack power. 2600 attack is pretty good. Kills monarchs, and basically everything else. If you can manage to keep it protected, then it can be very destructive, but without the ability its ancient gear brethren receive, it might have a hard time surviving.

So, it’s easier to bring out than its Dragon brother, but doesn’t have quite as good of an effect or attack. Which one is better? I’d say it’s a toss up. Try them both, see what works for you. But, again, both of these belong solely in an all out Machine Gadget deck.

Its like Monday's review, but bad.

It can't pierce, it isn't self-protecting and it has poor stats for a level 6 monster, as monarchs will eat it.

You could do as I suggested on Monday and Ultimate offering into the effects, but you really wouldn't want to. The cost – benefit payoff is way too sqwiffed in the cost department.

If you play machines, don't play this. If you play gadgets, don't play this. If you want to splash a card, don't splash this.
