Rare Value
This is the 2nd best theme-based draw I've seen
recently (first being Destiny Draw.) The theme-based
draw tends to follow the lines of being free in one
way or another. You have to give up a Crystal Beast
of your opponent's choice to use this, but those
cards generally get summoned, stay on the field for
a bit, and then go back to the Spell/Trap zone as a
free action. Likewise, most of the stuff you discard
with Destiny Draw, you WANT in the Graveyard, so I'd
call that a free action as well.
Half the time, it helps you to have Crystal Beasts
in the Graveyard so you can Crystal Blessing them
back to get one step closer to Crystal Abundance, or
to add effects to Rainbow Ruins.
Plain and simple, if you are playing Crystal Beasts,
you're playing 3 Rare Value.
5/5 for the decktype |

Wow, it's like Destiny Draw...except for Crystal
Beasts...with a slightly different cost, but the
effect is pretty much exactly the same...
So...You have to have two or more Crystal Beasts in
your Magic and Trap Zone. That's an easy enough task
to accomplish. Then, activate this, your opponent
chooses one and sends it to the Graveyard, and then
you get to Draw two cards.
Simple, but effective. A balanced two for two for
the player, considering you give up this Magic card,
and you lose one Crystal Beast, but get two new
cards in your Hand. A seemingly solid enough Draw
option for the Crystal Beast player.
Ratings:
5/5 Crystal Beasts...obviously
1/5 elsewhere

Rare Value :
Fantastic image! Rare crystals = cards! The way
forward!
These Crystal Beasts seem to be the most supported
type invented by Yugioh in many years (in one go).
On top of all the effect they've already got, they
get Pot of Greed. Ok, its a lot rarer, a slightly
more situational, but considering the deck it's
going in I'd expect this is easier to use than Pot
of Avarice, and like that card, in the correct deck,
the extra cost isn't that significant.

The reason people play Gem Beast. Triple pot of

Rare Value
Konami seems to be getting the message about themed
cards, and Rare Value is the third themed based Draw
Engine they have released to date; the other two
being Supercharge and Destiny Draw.
What makes Rare Value almost broken is the fact that
it's essentially a Pot of Greed that you can run in
3's. Unlike Destiny Draw, which evens out as a
2-for-2 exchange (despite the fact that you are
discarding cards that provide future advantage),
Rare Value is always a +1, since the only activation
requirement for this card is that you have 2 Crystal
Beast monsters in your Spell/Trap zones, and that
your opponent select one of them to be sent to the
Graveyard.
What that means is you play Rare Value (-1), your
opponent sends one Crystal Beast from your S/T zones
to the Graveyard (-0), and you then draw two cards
(+2).
Next to Pegasus, Crystal Abundance and Ancient City,
Rare Value is one of the driving forces behing
Crystal Beast decks, and is must for any Crystal
Beast deck.

Advanced:
1/5 - outmatched by Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity
and Mirage of Nightmare
Traditional:
5/5 - In a Crystal Beast deck, you run three of
these cards.

Rare Value
Normal Spell
Activate only when there are 2 or more "Crystal
Beast" cards in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. Your
opponent selects 1 "Crystal Beast" card fin your
Spell & Trap Card Zone and sends it to the
Graveyard. Then you draw 2 cards.
Well this is one of the best cards in Force of the
Breaker. Rare Value makes Crystal Beast decks viable
to some extent. This card is good to be able to draw
necessary cards, but then again, this card can be a
drawback for you. If you don't have spells like
Crystal Blessing or draw into it, then it can hurt
really bad. Drawing 2 cards is never bad in this
game, but it's the Destiny Draw of Crystal Beasts.
This can speed up the deck but even to now I don't
think Crystal Beasts can do as well as people hope.
It's a bit overhyped, and this card is really valued
for makers of the Crystal Beast deck. It's a card
that can do wonders and potentially make you win,
but can potentially make you lose as well which is
all dependent on the draw usually.
Traditional: 1/5 Better Draw cards and even so
Crystal Beasts aren't viable in Traditional.
Advanced: 2/5 In the current metagame Crystal Beasts
aren't as good as everyone thinks.
5/5 in Crystal Beast Decks only, it's a make or
break card for Crystal Beasts, it can add options
and also take away options as well.

Rare Value
Rare value reminds me alot of destiny draw. Its
effect allows you to draw 2 cards at the cost of
sending 1 face up spell card on the field to the
graveyard. This can be very good when you are trying
to draw combos or answers for cards that are on the
field. This is one of the better support cards for
gem beasts, and will prolly be ran in 2's or 3's if
gem beasts ever catch on. The only downside of this
card is it takes away your face - up spells, which
can take away from your ruby carbuncle, or
abundance. Overall, this is a great card for the gem
beast theme, or even a deck that runs alot of spell
or traps that remain faceup.
Sorry for short review, but its 4 a.m. and I am
TIRED. I will try to make tomorrows' longer.

The
Crystal Beast deck type is made competitive by the
support magics that come with them; Rare Value is
one of them. Looking at it, it seems to be another
theme supported Pot of Greed as Destiny Draw is for
any Destiny Hero based decks (Thero and Perfect
Circle). It gives Crystal Beasts what it needs the
most, speed. Its requirements are minimal seeing as
it doesn’t take long given a decent hand to put two
Crystal Beasts into the s/t zone. Giving up one is a
minimal requirement to gain two resources that in
all likelihood will replace the Crystal Beast or add
even more to it.
Crystal Beasts haven’t really broken out in any
major events as of yet, but they do have a large
amount of potential. With the right build in the
hands of the right player, they might have a
breakout soon and score one in the 16 of a major
event.
Advanced- 4/5 (Crystal Beast)
Traditional- I have no idea on Traditional Crystal
Beasts so I wont try to judge.
