Transformers--More than meets the eye!
Sorry, but the whole "Roid" series of monsters
strikes me as a poor Transformers rip-off.
Here, we have Ambulance Rescueroid, a good Fusion
monster obviously for Roid decks, but falls JUST
short of being playable. Why? It all comes down to
the fact that this monster has only 2300 attack.
If it had 2400 attack, it could at least suicide
with Monarchs, however, 2300 makes it vulnerable,
which is sad as I sort of like this card. The effect
is decent, but you probably won't get to use it
often. Recursion is usually a nice thing however.
When your monster is destroyed, excluding this one,
you can Special Summon it back to the Field in
defense position. Not bad, but your opponent will be
annoyed and tired of this quickly, so destroying the
Rescueroid will be in order.
*sigh*

Ambulance Thingyroid :
Fusion. Must..not...shout...
Ok, this is a reasonable fusion. Respectible stats,
respectible fusion material monsters, and a nice
recursion effect ensuring your opponent has to deal
with this before anything else you have out. If you
want to play fusions, I'd say this would be a
choice.
Shame you can't fetch it with Metamorphosis. It also
means you can have fun with "comes into play" or
"hits the graveyard" effects. The idea of suiciding
Sangan suddenly sounds fun (so I trade 500 damage
for a card.
Hmmm, sounds reasonable).

Ambulance Rescueroid

The "lock" this thing provides is too hard to set
up. Drillroid, Steamroid, etc. are superior in every
way. |

Ambulance Rescueroid
Why is it that we don't have any of Syrus
Truesdale's cool Roid Fusion monsters? Outside of
Jumbo Drill we have nothing worthwhile to justify
running a Roid-Fusion deck, and this card certainly
doesn't help.
If Elemental Heroes have taught us anything, it is
that running crappy monsters to fuse into a good
Fusion Monster does not a competitive deck make. So
what do you get for running crappy monsters to fuse
into a crappy Fusion Monster?
A crappy score on Pojo.com's COTD!
Stop fooling around Konami, and give us Super-Vehicroid
Stealth Union please!

bad.

So, we’ve gone from bad card, to good card, to great
card this week so far…and the trend continuous…..
Ambulance Rescueroid
Fire-Machine-Fusion
Fusion: Ambulanceroid + Rescueroid
Level 6
2300 atk 2000 def
This monster cannot be Special Summoned except by
Fusion Summon. Once per turn, when a monster on your
side of the field is destroyed by battle and sent to
the Graveyard, you can Special Summon that monster
in Defense Position.
So, we have a fusion of two sub-par monsters. 2300
attack, just short of a monarch. 2000 defense, just
short of defending against a Cyber Dragon. We all
know how hard it is to play Fusions. If you decide
to run this card, you need to probably run Future
Fusion and Vehicroid Connection Zone (which makes
this nearly invincible).
The effect isn’t actually too bad, if another
monster on your side of the field is destroyed by
battle Rescueroid can special summon that same
monster in Defense Mode. If you need to keep a
particular monster on the field, then Rescueroid
might help. It’s just questionable whether the
resources needed to bring out Rescueroid are worth
it. The monster that killed your creature is still
there, ready to kill it again., when you could run
Solemn Judgments or whatever in order to protect
that vital creature and be rid of your problem.
So, while this monster is interesting, I wouldn’t
consider running it outside of a ROID deck (which
aren’t terribly threatening as of late)

By now you should know my feelings on fusions. You
should also know my feelings on situational effects.
You should also know my feelings on putting a lot of
resources into nothing.
And you should definitely know how I feel about
mixing them all together into one card.
Knowing that, I present to you Rescueroid.
I think you can draw your own conclusions…… |
