Gladiator Beast
Spartacus
This card cannot
be Special Summoned except by the effect of
"Gladiator Beast Hoplomus". When this card is
Special Summoned, add 1 "Gladiator Beast" Equip
Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. At the end
of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was
attacked, you can return it to the Deck to Special
Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck,
except "Gladiator Beast Spartacus".
Card Number - GLAS-018
&
Armaments
GLAS-EN055
Gladiator Beast's Battle Halberd
[Equip Spell Card]
Equip only to a "Gladiator Beast" monster. When it
attacks, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card at the end of
the Damage Step. When the equipped monster is
returned from your side of the field to the Deck and
this card is sent to the Graveyard, return this card
to your hand.

Today we look at two cards...Gladiator Beast
Spartychus and the Magic card Armaments. You see,
when you summon the monster, you get to add the
Magic card to your Hand.
Like yesterday, Spartychus can only be Special
Summoned by one specific Gladiator Beast monster, in
this case, I'm referring to Hoplomus. When summoned,
as I said earlier, you get to add an Armaments card
to your Hand from your Deck.
Armaments
Equip Magic
Equip only to a "Gladiator-Beast" monster. If the
equipped monster attacks, destroy 1 Magic or Trap
Card on the Field at the end of the Damage Step. If
this card would be sent to the Graveyard as a result
of the equipped monster returning from the Field ot
the Deck, add this card to your Hand.
Not bad at all. Armaments allows you to destroy a
Magic or Trap card at the end of the Damage Step
after the monster equipped has attacked.
That's a potential +1 for you every turn for as long
as this card stays on the Field.
About that...Spartychus only has 2200 attack
points...it's a little low, but it is enough to take
out a Cyber Dragon...but not enough to take out some
other things. Still, this guy isn't all that useful,
you probably want him for the Armaments card, and
then to recycle him.

Today we look at two cards, instead of one!
Card number one is….
GLAS-EN055
Gladiator Beast's Battle Halberd
[Equip Spell Card]
Equip only to a "Gladiator Beast" monster. When it
attacks, destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card at the end of
the Damage Step. When the equipped monster is
returned from your side of the field to the Deck and
this card is sent to the Graveyard, return this card
to your hand.

Common
In general, equipment spell cards have to be quite
powerful for them to see play. Megamorph, United We
Stand, and Premature Burial are the only three you
might see.
This card isn’t too bad, though it’s obviously for
Gladiator’s only. Its first effect is just like
Ancient Gear Engineer. If this monster attacks,
destroy a Spell/Trap at the end of the damage step.
Notice this ISN’T optional. You must destroy a
Spell/Trap if there is one, which is always the case
since this is an equipment spell. Thankfully, since
this effect is the only reason that you would play
this card in a G-Beast deck, you won’t play it if
there is nothing to destroy. (As opposed to having
Halberd also increasing attack strength, which could
create an issue at some point). Finally, the point
that helps offset what is normally a big weakness
for Equip Spells. When the monster this is equipped
to is returned to the deck (whether by its effect,
or otherwise), this card is returned to your hand,
eliminating what you normally be a -1. Then, once
you get your next Gladiator, you can just re-equip
your Halberd.
So, once again, we have a card that you will
probably consider for Gladiator’s, but otherwise
leave it in your common box.

Gladiator’s ONLY!)

And for our second review….
GLAS-EN018
Gladiator Beast Spartacus
EARTH
Level 5
ATK/2200 DEF/600
[Dinosaur/Effect]
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by the
effect of "Gladiator Beast Hoplomus". When this card
is Special Summoned, add 1 "Gladiator Beast" Equip
Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. At the end
of the Battle Phase, if this card attacked or was
attacked, you can return it to the Deck to Special
Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck,
except "Gladiator Beast Spartacus".

Rare
He’s a 2200, so he can kill Cyber Dragon. He’s also
a 5-star, one tribute, but we don’t really care
about that in this deck.
And, here is another reason to play Equip Spell
cards in Gladiator Beasts. This dude can search them
out when Special Summoned by Hoplomus (which isn’t
too bad). We all know how much we love +1’s. If ya
need S/T removal, get Halberd. A lil extra attack,
get Gladius. Built-in Waboku, get Manica. And, then,
just like all the other gladiator beasts, when this
guy battles and survives (which can’t be that hard
thanks to Manica), you get to put him back in the
deck and special summon another beast.
What’s not to love?

General Zorpa |
This guy is almost good. Like Alexander, he has to
be Special Summoned from the deck by Gladiator Beast
Hoplomus, but that is not as bad, as Gladiator
Beasts should be running Hoplomus already. When he
is summoned from the deck you get to get a Gladiator
Beast equip card from your deck and add it to your
hand. Not bad, but the Gladiator Beast equip spells
are not that good. i would only use him if you are
planning on playing his fusion, Gaiodiaz, as it can
easily win you the game.
