Friday
Closing the week, we come to Aegis of Gaia, and I
would start by asking how the hell do you say
"Aegis?" I have a good idea, but am not sure.
Anyway, this isn't a bad card...gaining 3000
lifepoints instantly is amazing. Granted, this card
has quite a cost. When destroyed, you lose 3000
lifepoints.
To your credit, or whoever may play this card, there
are really only three cards that are floating
everywhere to destroy. Mobius the Frost Monarch,
Mystical Space Typhoon, and Heavy Storm. Though,
odds are you will be facing a Gadget or Monarch
deck.
That Monarch deck is probably using two or even
three copies of Mobius.
Suppose after you played this card, your lifepoints
drop below 3000.
Then, this card is destroyed and you lose the duel.
I wouldn't play this card anywhere except perhaps
the Fire Princess burn/recovery deck. It's very
dangerous elsewhere.
Ratings:
2/5 all around Not a bad card, but so easily
destroyed, and that could cost you the duel.

You stay classy, Planet Earth :) |

Aegis of Gaia :
As if collecting a complete set wasn't hard enough
already, they go and make 18 billion secret rares to
add on top. Sigh...
Eh, a reasonable card. It gives you LP to use
various Fairy "my LP is higher than yours" effects
and can keep you alive another turn or so in a tight
spot.
And, if the card is destroyed, there isn't any net
loss, and you did drag S/T destruction away from
something more useful. The question is whether there
is something more useful to put in your deck in the
first place. I'd say Fairys could have some fun with
this, but otherwise its nothing special.

Aegis of Gaia
What a weird card. Life point gain is useless, and
it gets even more useless when you eventually just
lose what you gained.

Aegis of Gaia
If Cyber Stein was legal I'd expect it to see some
play. As a side deck choice for end of match
procedure it will totally own. Last Turn is banned
and as such the only deck I can see relevance in is
Injection Fairy Lily. I am curious where the risk
comes? It is a minus one (no big deal cause 3000 LP
can alter a game state) that can laugh in the face
of a burn deck (another good option to side against)
that gives you 3000 free LP. If you lose 3000 to its
removal your back were you should be?
3/5
As a side deck choice it has some application. 3000
LP makes me want to give it more than a 2 thus a 3
is pushing it. |

Aegis of Gaia
I'll make this one short and to the point. This trap
card's primary use is in a life-gain deck. Since
I've never played with or against such a decktype, I
have little to say about it.
Outside of a life-gain deck, I can't fathom why you
would want to use this card.
Is this card good in a life-gain deck? Only if by
activating it you can then pull out a win. Leaving
it on your field to be destroyed (and thereby
inflicting 3000 LPs of damage to you) in a
subsequent turn is just a bad idea.

1/5 - lol!

else.

Aegis of Gaia
Hey the Immortal of Thunder got a make-over!!!!! But
lost all of his cool tricks. Aside from the
possibility of being included in some future otk or
burn deck this card is essentially useless for the
main meta.
