Dark Paladin

Monday

All right, we're still reviewing some left over cards from the new set, Phantom's Darkness, and we open the week with Reincarnation Extinction, one of the more interesting Trap cards of the set.

Reincarnation Extinction is a Continuous Trap, which all ready hurts the playability of any card, especially a Trap with things like a Divine Monarchy being so playable, and the potential for a triple Jinzo Lockdown Deck threat...all that aside, I actually like this card.

When a card (or cards) is (are) returned to the Deck from the Graveyard, the card (or cards) is (are) removed from play instead.

This card DOES have some potential.  An even bigger problem than being a Continuous Trap is that how many cards are played that return things to your Deck?

Not very many.  Morevover, an even bigger problem being, if you are removing a Monster (or Monsters), that could be helping your opponent, or you I suppose.  As for now, this card stands as a bit too situational for use.

Ratings:

Traditional:  1.5/5  Not entirely useless, constant removal could slow down Chaos and OTK?

Advanced:      2/5   A couple of whack off the wall Decks might

capitalize off this.

General Zorpa Transmigration Break

Well an interesting card. When stuff is added from the graveyard to the deck, they are removed from play instead. So that means that Pot of Avarice, Royal Firestorm Guards and Transmigration Prophecy all get their cards removed instead of being sent to the deck. As it is a continuous trap, this will often stop your opponent from playing those cards until they can set up a combo with Return or Dimension Fusion.

On a side note you can use these cards to get a huge removed from play pile for yourself and then Return or Dimension Fusion for the win. Obviously Pyros would be the best bet for a deck like this, as they have beaters and can quickly put huge guys in the graveyard with the volcanic theme cards as well as Soul of Fire. Not a useless card as some people might think, but not great either.

Transmigration Break

Overall, this card really isn't that great. The only competitive cards that return cards from the Deck to the Graveyard that I can think of off the top of my head are The Transmigration Prophecy and Pot of Avarice.

This card just isn't really worth playing unless something is released later on that is dependant on returning cards from the Graveyard to the Deck.

Advanced: 1/5

Pwii This card is almost useless because transmigration prophecy is hardly ever played. If it's weird combo deck thingy or gadgets are popular wherever you are, I guess it'd be smart to side-deck 2-3 of these. I'm not going to rate this because it's 5/5 in a side deck IF your meta runs a lot of gadgets. anything else it's absolutely useless
