Closing the week, we look at Legendary Fiend, a
monster Marik used in the Battle City Finals Arc
against Joey Wheeler. Legendary Fiend is a Dark
monster, and a Fiend, who is Level 6, with only 1500
attack and 1800 defense.
Legendary Fiend, whom I question how became
Legendary with such paltry stats, and an equally
subpar effect. Right, this card DOES have an effect,
I forgot...Legendary Fiend gains 700 attack during
your Standby Phases. So, one is 2200...two is
2900...etc...
It's junk folks, the beginning attack is too low,
and monsters who boosts their own attack are
generally not worth playing. That holds true here.

Legendary Fiend
Now I hate to see a good card ruined by being late
to our shores, but this is one of them. The classic
play with this guy is to use Mystic Tomato to bring
him out on your opponent's turn, and then during
your next turn you have a 2200 beatstick to beat
your opponent with. Only Injection Fairy Lily is
better at this. However, since tomato play is at an
almost all time low, this guy really has no place as
by the time he has enough ATK to be worth something,
you will have lost the game. If the game slows down
at all, I could see him being played in some oddball
Fiend decks, but not right now, the format is just
too slow to wait for a beater.

Friday- Legendary Fiend
Casual Level- I'm sure you can make a deck that
searches Fiend out with Mystic Tomato. It hits 2200
attack, and then you can go from there?
Now you get an extra review for the price of one,
since yesterday's review was so bad. Actually, maybe
I can just transform the Friday COTD into my rant
box?
(cuerant) I never understood why so much filler is
thrown into sets. It has been a huge problem for
years now, and I can't understand why the creative
team can't design more balanced cards that can
actually do something. Cards like Chaos Sorcerer,
Dustshoot, Mind Crush, Jujitsu Master, D.D Crow, and
to a lesser extent even decents such as Bowganian,
Bottomless Shifting Sand, Dark Mimic LV 1, and
others have all been commons. They're not hard to
make?
So why would you print crap like Thursday and
Friday's cards? Or why not hire new card designers?
Hrm.

Legendary Fiend
Today, we look at Legendary Fiend a Rare from
Phantom Darkness that came from the OCG in Japan.
This card came way too late for it to see any kind
of play here. He's a 1 sack for 1500 and he gains
700 attack during each of your standby phases. This
means, it will most likely be ran over on your
opponent's turn after you summon him. You'll need to
wait 3 turns for him to even be useful, but even
then with this format it's not worth it. Too little
too late for it to see any kind of play whatsoever.

I've decided that I'm going to boycott summer this
year. I cant stand the heat with all the bugs. yuck.
this card is practically useless, seeing as a ddv
player can already search for plague wolf with
zombie goblin too. so this card has hardly any
value.
1/5 all.

Friday April 4th: Legendary Fiend
Today is TGIF and we're reviewing Legendary
Fiend, a card is anything but Legendary.
It's a 1 Tribute Dark with 1500 ATK, which
makes it instantly searchable with Tomato.
It's effect boosts the ATK of this monster
by 700 during your standby phase only hence
the Tomato. With its boost, it can topple
Cyber Dragon in battle and become accessible
with DDV and EEV in an extra turn from now
It's also Necrofear and Hate Buster bait if
anyone cares. Other than that, in this Dark
format, there is no space for this
