Well, we review our first Synchro
monster, and our first card from The Duelist
Genesis, being Avenging Knight Parshath.
As stated, our Parshath friend is a Synchro
and a Fairy, who is Level 8 and or the Light
Attribute.
Avenging Knight Parshath is a
Synchro of 1 Tuner, and 1 or more non-Tuner Light
monsters, who has 2600 attack and 2100 defense,
which is a bit low for its Level, and can't quite
compete with our 2800 attack powerhouses of the
Format, but can take down the 2400 attack terrors,
so it's a mixed bag.
Now, once per turn, you can
change the Battle position of a face-up monster your
opponent controls, and as you might expect, Avenging
Knight Parshath has the wonderful ability of
Trample, but not the excellent ability of Drawing as
the younger Airknight does...
Honestly, this Synchro monster I
place in the middle...better than some by far, but,
by no means, the best.
Believe me folks, while the Decks of this
Format probably aren't going anywhere (we will have
to wait and see what the new List does or doesn't
do), but Synchro monsters will be here and out.
Ratings:
Traditional:
2.5/5
Hard to rate here, I'm not sure how
successful Synchro could be in Traditional.
Advanced:
3.5/5
For reasons listed above.

Avenging Knight Parshath
This is the TCG promo for TDGS. It is kind of a meh
card, needing a light monster as well as a tuner.
However, it's effect is one of the better ones. It
can switch a monster to it's weakest position, and
then wail on it with 2600 ATK and a trample ability.
However, 2600 does not stand up against the
behemoths of the format. Even dark Magician of Chaos
fends it off with it's DEF. The other problem is
it's level. 8 is a lot of investment into a Synchro
monster, and quite frankly I think that Stardust
Dragon and Red Archfiend Dragon are far better
investments and far easier to summon.
On the bright side, I do think that Synchro decks
should include this in their toolbox if they are
using LIGHT monsters. The fact that it is fairly
multi-purpose will make it an excellent choice for
the tumultuous format after TDGS is released. You
need as many versatile monsters as you can in a new
format, so you should pick Synchro cards that could
help. I do think that Colossal Fighter is better, as
it has more ATK and helps to pay for it's cost when
destroyed, something that Parshath does not do.
The bottom line is that this card is a meh sort of
card, but keep it around in case it gets good.

Todayʼs card up for review is Avenging Knight
Parshath, the sneak preview promo for Duelist
Genesis. This card is pretty decent for a fairy
deck, solely because of the lack of support. The
trample isnʼt an in thing like it use to be so
thatʼs not a big deal. Being able to switch the
battle position of a monster obviously is. After
that, I suppose the trample will help out a little
bit.
This card could be decent, as long as you can
protect it. Only hitting face up monsters with its
effect is pretty meh. If it would have been any
monster, I would like it a whole lot more. If you
have the resources to somehow get it out, kudos to
you. I suggest not trying this card out though
