Tiger Dragon opens our week, a rather interesting
Monarch-type card, but only if tributed the right
way. Tiger Dragon is Level 6 Earth monster with the
standard 2400 base attack and a reasonable 1800
defense, who is obviously a Dragon.
If you tribute a Dragon-type monster to tribute
summon Tiger Dragon, you can destroy up to two face
down Magic or Trap Cards your opponent controls. Is
this card any good? Arguably. It does obviously
belong only in a Dragon Deck, which aren't too big
on the playlist this Format.
It does have a solid attack, and a reliable
destruction effect, but unless Dragons suddenly
become popular, Tiger Dragon is best left in your
trade binder for now.

Tiger Dragon is like a Mobius the Frost Monarch for
Dragons. The only differences is that its a Dragon,
must tribute a dragon and the Spell or Trap cards
have to be face down. Of course people would use
this in a Dragon deck because it would be useless
anywhere else. Tiger Dragon can be used with Future
Fusion and Dragon's Mirror, while Mobius cannot. It
has a little bit better defense than Mobius, so if
somehow this is in defense Stratos and most other
monsters can't get over it, but Dragons have been
mainly a casual deck and never really regional
worthy.

Tiger Dragon:
This card is perfect for Dragon-type decks, because
most everything in a Dragon deck is...well, it's a
Dragon, right? So naturally you'll be tributing a
Dragon for it, and to destroy two face-down Spell or
Trap cards is just amazing. This card won't bring
the Dragon deck to prominence or anything, but it
will help it out tremendously - maybe to the point
of making it a Tier-2 build. There are a lot of
great dragons out there, and this card will only
help the deck. Don't think of splashing it, though,
because it belongs strictly in a Dragon build.

Tiger Dragon
Now here is a good card. He is a Dragon type with
2400 ATK and 1800 DEF, which is about average for a
one tribute monster, but with slightly higher
defense. EARTH attribute neither hurts him nor helps
him, but his effect is decent. If you tribute a
Dragon monster, you get to blast any 2 face-down
sell or trap cards that your opponent controls.
This is basically a themed version of Mobius the
Frost Monarch. If you want to destroy Spell and Trap
cards with a tribute monster, you should still use
Mobius. However, in a Dragon deck, you can actuallyk
make use of this guy. Dragons hate face-down stuff,
as it will usually stop the rain of destruction that
they like to unleash. So any added way to get rid of
cards like Solemn Judgment and Phoenox Wing Wind
Blast is helpful.
As he only destroys face-downs, you have to admit
that Mobius is better, but this guy had some pretty
sick art.
