Doomsday Horror...now this card I like...I really
like. Not so much for the fact of his first effect,
of gaining 300x attack for each Dark mosnter that
either player has removed from the game. Let's
address that first, meaning you would need eight
monsters total just for 2400 attack...our standard
level of attack for certain things...
Anyway, that should be easy enough to obtain using
many cards...Dark Armed Dragon, Strike Ninja, even
Dark Creator from earlier this week, and many
others. Getting the cards removed isn't very
difficult.
However, if you want Doomsday Horror to be a big
heavy hitter or finisher...you want him late game.
So, that's one (or two, or three) cards in forty.
However, I do really enjoy the second effect. If
destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, all cards that
both players have removed from play are returned to
their respective Graveyards. I suppose that could
actually work against you, especially if you are
going for Dimension Fusion or Return From the
Different Dimension, but Monster Reborn is almost
legal again :)

Doomsday Horror
In a pure Dark removal deck, this could possibly get
to a rather high ATK score. Reloading your Graveyard
with stuff to RFG again for various effects could
also be good -- but then again, it seems most Dark
deck players WANT the monsters removed, so they can
Escape from the D. D. them out, or Dimension Fusion,
or Return, or the like.
There's potential here, but I don't think the
current wave of Dark decks needs this card just yet.

Doomsday Horror
Not that great a card. He can be a finisher at the
right moment in time, but his effect is just
inferior to that of Prometheus, King of Shadows. He
just does not gain enough ATK points in order to
justify playing him. The ability to return all of
your removed from play DARKS is nice, but generally
you WANTED them there for a reason. It also messes
up your plans for your Dark Armed Dragon as he needs
exactly 3 in order to be played. He has no place in
the current DARK deck, but that can change.

Doomsday Horror
Well, we're actually reviewing what I consider to be
a broken card.
Doomdays Horror is actually one of the best combo
cards to arrive in PTDN, atleast in my opinion. It's
a Dark monster appropriately, and it's a Fiend which
gains it a little support. The biggest thing with
this monster isn't it's first effect though.
- This is actually a decent effect, since it allows
Doomsday to be a powerhouse lategame. Especially if
you're running a Rainbow Dark Dragon deck. Seven RFG
monsters instantly boost this guy to 2100, tying a
Cyber Dragon at the least.
- The second effect is what makes this monster
absolutely beastly. Returning RFG monsters to the
graveyard can be quite the devastating blow. It
targets both you and your opponent's RFG monsters,
which if you play this right, will mess with any
other Dark Decks strategy.
Now I know a lot of people think the last monster
you'd want to run with this is Dark Armed Dragon.
Wrong. That's THE best monster you can run with this
card.
Normal Summon Doomsday - Special Summon DAD - Remove
three monsters to destroy three cards - two of your
opponents and DDHorror. Horror brings back
everything you've had to remove to get exactly three
monsters, and you've basically got a whole new round
of ammo for DAD. This allows you to clear the field,
pretty much nomatter the situation. At the very
least you're getting another three Dark monsters.
Late game, this can be nine of ten Darks for DAD to
go to work with. If your opponant doesn't have an
immediate response, this can very well lead to game.
I am a big fan of this card, and I'm quite happy to
have pulled one from the original box I bought. I
know the other reviewers most likely aren't going to
rank this guy high, but I personally think this guy
creates too much advantage to be ignored.
Traditional: 4/5 Chaos benefits from this greatly.
Advanced: 3.5/5 Since many other decks can't benefit
too much from this.
Advanced DAD: 5/5

Doomsday Horror
I know many people think that this card is
great for a Dark deck and some of you think that
it is plain garbage in a Dark-Themed deck, but
in my opinion, this card is a card that I
greatly overestimated just like Beginning of the
End. If you don't have any Dark monsters removed
from play and this is the only monster in your
hand to summon, this card is nearly worthless.
It's great that it gains 300 ATK/DEF for each
Dark monster you have removed from play, but you
won't have so many Dark monsters removed from
play so soon. It's second effect it pretty good
since it allows you to return all Dark monsters
back to its owner's graveyards to use it for
Dark Nepthys, Dark Armed Dragon, Darklord Zerato,
Dark Creator, etc. Good card, but if it's in
your hand at the wrong time, it is one horrible
card to have and play. If you have a great
strategy or deck idea revolving and involving
around Doomsday Horror, PLEASE feel free to
email them to
pathoon@aol.com because I really want
Doomsday Horror proven to be good, but so far in
my eyes when I played it, it sucked and came
totally at the worst timings ever.
Traditional: 3/5 (Removing Dark
monsters is common around here)
Advanced: 3.25/5
Art: 2.25/5 (What the hell is
that? A little cheesy and a little too cartoony
to me.)

As
promised, I will be taking on the personality of
Randy Jackson (American idol) today!
Ok, so this card doomsday horror is like so not cool
and hip dawg. I mean, combined with beginning of the
end, this thing only has like 1500 atk dawg. And I'm
like, so, golden homunculus would do the job better
then this yo. But even that's not worth running, so
you should probably just go with RFTDD man...
1/5 all.
