Dark Paladin
Thursday

Today we look at Legacy of Yata-Garasu, another Jar of Greed, so to speak, but with an additional effect. This card is awesome in Traditional, let's address that first. If you have no cards in your Hand, but 1 of these down against a Yata, you draw 2 cards...two down, that's 4 cards...and three down, that's 6 cards.

This card could single-handedly help prevent Yata-lock. However, maybe not. The Jar of Greed effect is nice too, but I'd use that over this in Advanced, as you will probably never EVER see a Spirit in Advanced...Asura Priest or Oto Heme (spelled wrong...) maybe, and that's still a stretch.

However, it is another Turbo draw option for Exodia decks, remember :)

Ratings:

Traditional: 4.75/5 Not perfect, but it lets you draw, and can prevent Yata lock...can I said.

Advanced: 3/5 Still lets you draw, but no reason over Jar of Greed, as I said.

Exodia: 5/5
General Zorpa Legacy of Yata Garasu

80% of the time this card is just a cooler looking Jar of Greed. However you have that small chance that if a Spirit is on your opponent's field, you draw two cards. Creature Swap comes to mind here, but that is a lot of wishing and hoping. It is good for Exodia and other cycling decks, but otherwise useless.

Legacy of Yata Garasu

Well here’s another trap that Exodia decks just love. That makes for six total traps that have the basic effect of “Draw 1 card”. I’m not including all the other cards out there that allow for drawing but with added conditions and effects.

-         The first effect just lets ya draw. It’s… pretty simple. If you’re going to use it, make sure you have 40 cards, since it’s kind of dumb to run draw cards in a deck featuring more than what you’ve gotta have.
-         The second effect is for the most part useless. Not many people run a mess of Spirit monsters, if any. The only possible consideration is Tsukuyomi and obviously Yata Garasu in Traditional. This effect would be much nicer if it were a spirit monster on your side of the field.

Well that’s it. Not much more to say besides run it if you want extra speed and aren’t afraid of Jinzo.

Traditional: 1.5/5 Since Yata and Tsukuyomi are here.
Advanced: 1/5
Exodia Deck: 3/5

The First Hokage Legacy of Yata Garasu

Continuing on with Premium Pack week, we look at the Super Rare Legacy of Yata Garasu. This card actually has some uses... The main effect of this card is:
Draw 1 Card, much to the extent of Jar of Greed.

Basically, any deck out there that doesn't run drawing power can benefit from this card, but I wouldn't use too many of this card, and this card obviously doesn't belong in every deck that needs the drawing power. For decks like Exodia, this card can speed up the drawing to get you the 5 cards faster.

Either way, I don't expect to see this card in too many Advanced decks just because it's kind of a slow and it's a trap. It's still a nice card regardless

In Traditional, I don't see this card making a huge impact just because of the cards that are already in there.

My Ratings:

Advanced: 2.55/5
Traditional: 1.7/5
Art: 2.5/5
